3 And the LORD faid, My Spirit fhall not always strive with man, for that he alfo i flesh yet his days thall be an hundred and twenty years.

4 There were giants in the earth in those days: and alfo after that, when the fons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the fame became mighty men, which zeere of old men of renown.

5 And God faw that the wickedness of man goes great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved hin at his heart.

7 And the LORD faid, I will deftroy man, whom I have created, from the face of the earth, both man and beat and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air: for it repenteth me that I have made them.

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

9 These are the generations of Noah; Noal was a jutt man, and perfect in his ge nerations, and Noah walked with God.

10 And Noah begat three fons, Shem,Ham, and Japheth.

The earth alfe was corrupt before God; and the earth was filled with violence.

12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt: for all fleth had corrupted his way upon the earth.

13 ind God faid unto Noah, The end of all feth ts come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them: and, be hold, I will deftroy them with the earth.

14 Make thee an ark of gopher-wood: rooms fhalt thou make in the ark, and thalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

15 And this is the fashion which thou fhalt make it of: the length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.

16 Awindow fhalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit halt thou find it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou fet in the fide thereof: with lower, fecond, and third florier thalt thou make it.

17 And, behold I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven: and every thing that is in the earth thail die.

18 But with thee will I eftablish my cove nant: and thou shalt come into the ark; thou, and thy fons, and thy wife, and thy fons wives with thee.

19 And of every living thing of all Bleth, two of every fort ihalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they thall be male and female.

ND the LORD faid unto Noah, Come thou,

21 And all fleth died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beat, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:

22 All in whofe nottrils at the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.

23 And every living fubftance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

24 And the waters prevailed upon the carth an hundred and fifty days.

5 And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.

6 And Noah zoas fix mindred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

7 And Noah went in, and his fons, and his wife, and his fons wives with him, into the ark, becaufe of the waters of the flood.

8 Of clean beasts, and of beats that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,

9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.

to And it came to pafs, after feven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth. 11 In the fix hundredth year of Noals life, in the fecond month, the feventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

13 In the felf-fame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and japheth, the fons of Noab, and Noahs wife, and the three wives of his fons with them, into the ark:

14 They, and every beat after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every fort.

15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all fieth, wherein is the breath of life.

16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had comDanded him: and the LORD fhut him in.

17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increafed, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.@

2 The fountains alfo of the deep, and the windows of heaven, were flopped, and the rain from heaven was reftrained.

3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.

4 And the ark retted in the feventh month, on the feventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.

5 And the waters decreafed continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains feen.

6 And it came to pafs, at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made.

7 And he fent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.

8 Alfo he fent forth a dove from him, to fee if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground:

9 But the dove found no rcft for the fole of her foot, and the returned unto him into the ark: for the waters terre on the face of the whole earth. Then he put forth his band, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.

10 And he ttayed yet other feven days, and again he fent forth the dove out of the ark.

11 And the dove came in to him in the evening, and, lo, in her mouth seas an oliveleaf plucked off. So Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth. 12 And he stayed yet other feven days, and fent forth the dove, which returned not again unto him any more.

13 And it came to pafs, in the six ondredth and ärit year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth; and Noah renove

the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.

14 And in the fecond month, on the feven and twenties day of the month, was the

earth dried.

15 And God fpake unto Noah, faying, 16 Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy tons, and thy fous wives with thee. 17 Bring forth with thee every living thing that with thee, of all fieth. both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.

18 And Noah went forth, and his fons, and his wife, and his fons wives with him:

19 Every beatt, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatfoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.

20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD, and took of every clean beatt, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt-offerings on the altar.

21 And the LORD fmelled a fweet favour; and the LORD faid in his heart, I will not again curfe the ground any more for mans fake; for the imagination of mans heart is evil from his youth: neither will I again fmite any more every thing living, as I have done.

8 And Cuth begat Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one in the earth.

9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is faid, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.

10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh,
