for joy, because thou defendest them; let them also that love Thy Name be joyful in Thee. For Thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt Thou compass Him as with a shield. Amen.

III.

O LORD, rebuke me not in Thine anger, neither chasten me in Thy hot displeasure. Have mercy upon me, O Lord, for I am weak; O Lord, hear me, for my bones are vexed. My soul also is sore vexed; but Thou, O Lord, how long?-Return, O Lord, deliver my soul; O save me for Thy mercies' sake. I am weary with my groaning; mine eye is consumed because of grief.

The Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping. The Lord hath heard my supplication.

The Lord will receive my prayer.

Amen.

"And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other."Mark, iii. 5.

IV.

How long wilt Thou forget me, O Lord?—for ever? How long wilt Thou hide Thy face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me? Con

sider and hear me, O Lord my God, lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death.

I have trusted in Thy mercy.

My heart shall rejoice in Thy salvation.

I will sing unto the Lord, because He hath dealt bountifully with me. Amen.

"God is not unrighteous, to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister."-Heb. vi. 10.

V.

PRESERVE me, O God; for in Thee do I put my trust. O Lord attend unto my cry; give ear unto my prayer that goeth not out of feigned lips. Hold up my goings in Thy paths that my footsteps slip not. I have called upon Thee, for Thou wilt hear me, O God; incline Thine ear unto me, and hear my speech. Shew Thy marvellous loving-kindness, O Thou that savest by Thy right hand them which put their trust in Thee from those that rise up against them. Keep me as the apple of the eye; hide me under the shadow of Thy wings. As for me, I will behold Thy face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake with thy likeAmen.
