XXIV.

BLESS the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits; who forgiveth all Thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with loving-kindness and tender mercies; who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide; neither will he keep His anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him. The mercy of

XXV.

REMEMBER me, O Lord, with the favour that Thou bearest unto Thy people; O visit me with Thy salvation; that I may see the good of Thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of Thy nation, that I may glory with Thine inheritance. Do Thou for me, O God the Lord, for Thy name's sake; because Thy mercy is good, deliver Thou me. For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me. Help me, O Lord my God, O save me according to Thy mercy. Return

unto thy rest, O my soul, for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee. For Thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living. I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord. O Lord, truly I am Thy servant, Thou hast loosed my bonds. I will offer to Thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord. Amen.
