That the Commission be continued with authority to perfect the details of its work and to complete, for the benefit of the Church Pension Fund, musical editions of the New Hymnal. It was voted by both Houses of the General Convention, held in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nineteen: WHEREAS, the New Hymnal was approved and authorized for use by the General Convention of 1916, and WHEREAS, an edition with words only has been ordered by the Convention and will be published; RESOLVED, the House of Deputies concurring, the House of Bishops heartily commends the use of the New Hymnal with music score, in order to take advantage of the present popular interest in singing and to promote congregational singing throughout the whole Church.
