Grateful adoration.

EFORE Jehovah's awful throne,

Bronations bow with sacred joy;

Know that the Lord is God alone,
He can create, and he destroy.

L. M.

2 His sov'reign power, without our aid,
Made us of clay, and form'd us men;
And when like wand'ring sheep we stray'd,
He brought us to his fold again.

8 We'll crowd thy gates with thankful songs,
High as the heavens our voices raise;
And earth, with her ten thousand tongues,
Shall fill thy courts with sounding praise.
4 Wide as the world is thy command;
Vast as eternity thy love;

Firm as a rock thy truth shall stand,
When rolling years shall cease to move.

The prosperity of the saints.
RENDER thanks to God above,
The fountain of eternal love,
Whose mercy firm through ages past
Hath stood, and shall forever last.
2 Who can his mighty deeds express,
Not only vast, but numberless!
What mortal eloquence can raise
His tribute of immortal praise!
3 Extend to me that favour, Lord,
Thou to thy chosen dost afford;
When thou return'st to set them free,
Let thy salvation visit me.

40 may I worthy prove to see
Thy saints in full prosperity,-
That I the joyful choir may join,
And count thy people's triumph mine!

13th P. M. 10 10, 11 11.

Adoration for infinite love.

YE servants of God, your Master proclaim,
And publish abroad his wonderful name;
The name all-victorious of Jesus extol;
His kingdom is glorious; he rules over all.

2 God ruleth on high, almighty.to save;
And still he is nigh; his presence we have:
The great congregation his triumph shall sing,
Ascribing salvation to Jesus our King.

3 Salvation to God, who sits on the throne;
Let all cry aloud, and honour the Son:
The praises of Jesus the angels proclaim,
Fall down on their faces, and worship the Lamb.

4 Then let us adore, and give him his right,All glory and power, and wisdom and might, All honour and blessing, with angels above, And thanks never ceasing, for infinite love.

4th P. M. 886, 886.

The glory of His grace.

LET sing the great Jehovah's praise,
ET all on earth their voices raise,

And bless his holy Name:

His glory let the heathen know,
His wonders to the nations show,
His saving grace proclaim.

2 He framed the globe; he built the sky He made the shining worlds on high, And reigns in glory there;

His beams are majesty and light;
His beauties, how divinely bright!
His dwelling-place, how fair!

8 Come the great day, the glorious hour, When earth shall feel his saving power, All nations fear his Name:

Then shall the race of men confess
The beauty of his holiness,
His saving grace proclaim.

The glories of Jehovah.

L. M.

SERVANTS of God! in joyful lays,
Sing ye the Lord Jehovah's praise;
His glorious Name let all adore,
From age to age, forever more.

2 Blest be that Name, supremely blest,
From the sun's rising to its rest;
Above the heavens his power is known,
Through all the earth his goodness shown.
3 Who is like God? so great, so high,
He bows himself to view the sky;
And yet, with condescending grace,
Looks down upon the human race.
4 He hears the uncomplaining moan
Of those who sit and weep alone;
He lifts the mourner from the dust;
In Him the poor may safely trust.
5 O then, aloud, in joyful lays,
Sing to the Lord Jehovah's praise;
His saving Name let all adore,
From age to age, forever more.

3d P. M. 4 6s & 2 88.

The universal King.

YOUNG men and maidens, raise
Your tuneful voices high;
Old men and children, praise
The Lord of earth and sky:
Him three in one, and one in three,
Extol to all eternity.

2 The universal King

Let all the world proclaim;
Let every creature sing

His attributes and name :

Him three in one, and one in three,
Extol to all eternity.

3 In His great Name alone
All excellences meet,
Who sits upon the throne,
And shall forever sit:

Him three in one, and one in three,
Extol to all eternity.

4 Glory to God belongs;
Glory to God be given,
Above the noblest songs,

Of all in earth and heaven:

Him three in one, and one in three, Extol to all eternity.

11th P. M. 76, 76, 77, 76,

The Triune God of truth and grace.

MEET and right it is to sing,
In every time and place,
Glory to our heavenly King,
The God of truth and grace:
Join we then with sweet accord,
All in one thanksgiving join;
Holy, holy, holy Lord,

Eternal praise be thine.

2 Thee the first-born sons of light,
In choral symphonies,

Praise by day, day without night,
And never, never cease;
Angels, and archangels, all

Praise the mystie Three in One,
Sing, and stop, and gaze, and fall
O'erwhelm❜d before thy throne.

8 Vying with that heavenly choir,
Who chant thy praise above,
We on eagles' wings aspire,-
The wings of faith and love;
Thee they sing, with glory crown'd;
We extol the slaughter'd Lamb;
Lower if our voices sound,

Our subject is the same.

4 Father, God, thy love we praise,
Which gave thy Son to die;
Jesus, full of truth and grace,
Alike we glorify;
Spirit, Comforter divine,

Praise by all to thee be given,

Till we in full chorus join,

And earth is turn'd to heaven.

9th P. M. 87, 87.

The Triune God glorified.

GFountain of eternal love,

LORY to the' almighty Father,

Who, his wand'ring sheep to gather,
Sent a Saviour from above.

2 To the Son all praise be given,
Who, with love unknown before,
Left the bright abode of heaven,
And our sin and sorrows bore.

3 Equal strains of warm devotion
Let the Spirit's praise employ;
Author of each pure emotion;

Source of wisdom, peace, and joy.

4 Thus, while our glad hearts, ascending, Glorify Jehovah's Name,

Heavenly songs with ours are blending.
There the theme is still the same.
