4 When we asunder part,
It gives us inward pain;
But we shall still be join'd in heart,
And hope to meet again.
5 This glorious hope revives
Our courage by the way;
While each in expectation lives,
And longe to see the day.
6 From sorrow, tuil, and pain,
And sin we shall be free;
And perfect love and friendship reign
Through all eternity.
4th P. M. 886, 886.
JESUS, fulfill our one desire,
And spread the spark or living fire
Through every ballow'd breast:
Bless with divine conformits,
And give us now to find in thoe
Our everlasting rest.
20 that we now the power might feel,
To do on earth thy blessed will,
As angels do above :
To walk in thee, the Truth, the Was,
And ever perfectly obey
Thy sweet constraining love.
6th P. M. 6 lines 7o. Iland in hand to heaven. CENTRE of our hopes thou art;
End of our enlarged desires :

Fill us now with heavenly fires :
Join'd to the4 by love divine,
Seal our sous forever the.
2 All our works in thee be wrought,
Levell'd at one common aim :
Every word and every thought
Purge in the refining flame:
Lead us, through the paths of peace,
On to perfect holiness.
8 Let us all together rise,
To thy glorious life restored;
Here regain our Paradise, -.
Here prepare to meet our Lord : Hero enjoy the earnest given: Travel hand in hand to heaven. 715
5th P. M. 4 lines Ts. One in Christ Jesus and with each other,
Those who now are one in thee:
Draw us by thy grace alone :
Give, o give us to thy Son.
2 Jesus, Friend of human kind,
Let us in thy name be join'd;
Each to each unite and bless;
Keep us still in perfect peace.
3 Heavenly, all-alluring Dove,
Shed thy overshadowing love;
Love, the sealing grace, impart;
Dwell within our single heart.
4 Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
Be to us what Adam lost;
Let us in thine image riso;
Give us back our Paradise.
Rejoicing in hore.
IFT up your hearts to things above,
And join with us to praise his love,
And glorify his Name
2 To Jesus' Name give thanks and sing,
Whose mercies never end :
Rejoice! rejoice! the Lord is King;
The King is now our Friend,
3 We for his sake count all things loss;
On earthly good look down;
And joyfully sustain the cross,
Till we receive the crown.
4 O let us stir each other up,
Our faith by works to' Approve, -
By holy, purifying hope,
And the sweet task of love.
6 Let all who for the promise wait,
The Holy Ghost receive ;
And, raised to our unsinning state,
With God in Eden live :
6 Live, till the Lord in glory come,
And wait his heaven to share :
He now is fitting up your home;
Go on, we'll meet you there.
4th P. M. 886, 886.
Unity of spirit and of purpose,
NOME, wisdom, power, and grace divine
A happy, chosen band;
Who fain would prove thine utmost will,
And all thy righteous laws fulfil,
In love's benign command.
2 If pure essential love thou art,
Thy nature into every heart,
Thy loving self, inspire :
Bid all our simple souls be one,
United in a bond unknown,
Baptized with heavenly fire.
3 Still may we to our centre tend,
To spread thy praise our common end,
To help each other on;
Companions through the wilderness,
To share a moment's pain, and seize
An everlasting crown.
4 Jesus, our tender'd sonls prepare;
Infuse the softest social care,
The warmest charity;
The bowels of our bleeding Lamb,
The virtues of thy wondrous name,
The heart that was in thee.
5 Supply what every member wants ;
To found the fellowship of saints,
Thy Spirit, Lord, supply;
So shall we all thy love receive,
Together to thy glory live,
And to thy glory die. 718
7th P. M. 8 lines 7.
Witnesses for Jesus.
COME, and let us sweetly join,
Christ to praise in hymns divine:
Give we all, with one accord,
Glory to our common Lord :
Hands, and hearts, and voices raise;
Sing as in the ancient days;
Ante-date the joys above,-
Celebrate the feast of love.
2 Strive we, in affoction strive;
Let the purer Anme revive;
Such as in the martyrs glow'd,
Dying champions for their God :
We like them may live and love;
Cull'd we are their joys to prove
Saved with them from future wrath
Partners of like precious faith.
8 Sing we then in Jesus' Name,
Now as yesterday the same;
One in every time and place,
Full for all of truth and grace:
We for Christ, our Master, stand,
Lights in a benighted land:
We our dying Lord confess;
We are Jesus' witnesses.
7th P. M. 8 lines 78.
The feast of endless love.
COME shou bigh and lofty
Humbly stoop to earth again;
Come, and visit abject man.
Jesus, dear expected guest,
Thou art bidden to the feast :
For thyself our hearts pretre;
Come, and sit, and banquet there.
2 Jesus, we thy promise claim:
We are niet in thy great name:
In the midst do thou appear;
Manifest thy presence here.
Sanctify us, Lord, and bless;
Breathe thy Spirit, give thy peace;
Thov thyself within us move :
Make our feast a feast of love.
8 Let the fruits of grace abound;
Let us in thy bowels sound;
Faith, and love, and joy increase,
Temperance and gentleness;
Plant in us thy humble mind,
Patient, pitiful, and kind :
Meek and lowly let us be, -
Full of goodness, full of thee.
