Up to thy gracious throne,
And thank thee for the precious gift

of thine incarnate Son.
2 His infant cries proclaim

A peace 'twixt earth and heaven: Salvation, through his only Name,

To all mankind is given. 3 The gift unspeakable

We thankfully receive,
And to the world thy goodness tell,

And to thy glory live.
4 May all mankind receive

The new-born Prince of peace, And meekly in his spirit live,

And in his love increase. 5 Till he convey ng home,

Cry every soul aloud, -
Come, thou Desire of nations, come,

And take us up to God. 125

5th P. M. 4 linea 7s.
The Sun of righteousness.
ARK! the herald angels sing,

Glory to the new-born King;
rence on earth, and mercy mild;
God and sinners reconciled.
2 Joyful all ye nations rise,
Join the triumphs of the skies;
With angelic hosts proclaim,-
Christ is born in Bethlehem.
8. Christ, by highest heaven adored,
Christ, the everlasting Lord;
Veil'd in flesh the Godhead see;
Huil, incarnate Deity!

4 Hail the heaven-born Prince of peace!
Hail the Sun of righteousness!
Light and life to all he brings,
Risen with healing in his wings.
5 Come, Desire of nations, como !
Fix in us thy humble home;
Second Adam from above,
Reinstate us in thy love.

26th P. M. 76, 76, 76, 78.
The glory of His kingdom.

to the Lord's anointed,
Great David's greater Son!
Hail, in the time appointed,
His reign on earth begun!
He comes to break oppression,

To set the captive free;
To take away transgression,

And rule in equity.
2 He comes, with succour speedy
To those who suffer wrong ;-
To help the poor and needy,

And bid the weak be strong:
To give them songs for sighing,

Their darkness turn to light,
Whose souls, condemn'd and dying,

Were precious in his sight.
3 He shall descend like showers

Upon the fruitful earth,
And love and joy, like flowers,

Spring in his path to birth :
Before him, on the mountning,
Shall peace, the herald, go,

, And righteousness, in fountains,

From hill to valley flow.

4 To him shall prayer unceasing,

And daily vows ascend; His kingdom still increasing,

A kingdom without end :
The tide of time shall never

His covenant remove;
His name shall stand forever;

That name to us is Love.

Reigning in His kingdom of grace.

LL glory to God in the sky, O Jesus, exalted on high,

Appear, our omnipotent Lord; Who, meanly in Bethlehem born,

Didst stoop to redeem a lost race: Once more to thy creatures returu,

And reign in thy kingdom of grace. 2 0 wouldst thou again be made known,

Again in thy Spirit descend; And set up, in each of thine own,

A kingdom that never shall end ! Thou only art able to bless,

And make the glad nations obey, And bid the dire enmity cease,

And bow the whole world to thy sway.

3 0, come to thy servants again,

Who long thiñe appearing to know; Thy quiet and peaceable reign

In mercy establish below: All sorrow before thee shall fly,

And anger and hatred be o'er; And envy and malice shall die, And discord afflict us no more.

C. M.
God manifested in the flesh.
TITH glorious clouds encompass'd round

Whom angels dimly see,
Will the Unsearchable be found,

Or God appear to me!
9 Will he forsake his throne above,

Himself to worms impart!
Answer, thou Man of grief and love,

And speak it to my heart.
3 In manifested love explain
Thy wonderful design;
What meant the suffring Son of man,

The streaming blood divine !
4 Didst thor not in our flesh appear,

And live and die below,
That I might now perceive thee near,

And my Redeemer know
5 Might view the Lamb in his own light,
Whom angels dinily see;
And gaze, transported at the sighty

To all eternity!

The incarnale God.
MOME, Holy Ghost, inspire our songs
Enlarge our hearts, unloose our tongues,

To praise the Saviour's name.
2 How great the riches of his grace!

He left his throne above,
And, swift to save our ruin'd race,

He few on wings of love.
