5 Eternal, glorious Lord!
Let all the saints above,

104.

Let all the sons of men record
And celebrate Thy love.

1 MAKER, Upholder, Ruler! Thee
Let all that live adore,

Who art, and wast, and art to be,
God, blessed evermore.

C. M.

2 Redeemer, Prophet, Priest, and King! Appointed Judge of all!

Let ransomed souls Thy triumphs sing,
Thy foes before Thee fall.

3 Spirit of life, and light, and love!
Thy glorious gifts impart :

From heaven descending like a dove,
Dwell Thou in every heart.

4 Thee, Father, Son, and Spirit! Thee
Let heaven and earth adore.

Thou art, Thou wast, and Thou shalt be God blessed evermore.

105.

1 TO the Source of every blessing
Grateful anthems let us raise.
Holy joy, our souls possessing,
Swells the tribute of our praise.

2 Glory to the almighty Father,
Fountain of eternal love,

P. M.

Who, His wandering sheep to gather,
Sent a Saviour from above.

3 To the Son all praise be given,

Who, with love unknown before,
Left the bright abode of heaven,

And our sins and sorrows bore.
4 Equal strains of warm devotion
Let the Spirit's praise employ ;
Author of each holy motion;

Source of wisdom, peace, and joy.

5 Thus, while our glad hearts ascending Glorify Jehovah's name,

Heavenly songs with ours are blending; There, the theme is still the same.

106.

L. M. double. ETERNAL Father! throned above: Thou Fountain of redeeming love! Eternal Word! who left Thy throne, For man's rebellion to atone : Eternal Spirit! who dost give That grace by which our spirits live: Thou God of our salvation! be Eternal praises paid to Thee!

107.

L. M.

PRAISE God, from whom all blessings flow:
Praise Him, all creatures here below.
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host:
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
108.

TO Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,

One God whom we adore, Be glory, as it was, is now,

And shall be evermore!

C. M.

109.

IN hope to join the angelic host
And all the ransomed throng,
To Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
We raise the grateful song.

110.

TO Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,

C. M.

8's.

The God whom heaven's triumphant host,
And suffering saints on earth adore :
Be glory as in ages past,

As now it is, and so shall last,

When time itself shall be no more.

111.

TO God Almighty, Father, Son,
And Comforter the Holy Ghost,
Be honour, worship, homage done,
By saints and angels, joyful host;
As 'twas in ages heretofore,

Is

now, and shall be evermore.

112.

PRAISE the name of God Most High.

Praise Him, all below the sky:
Praise Him, all ye heavenly host,
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

SUPPLICATION AND INTERCESSION.

FOR THE COMMENCEMENT OF PUBLIC WORSHIP.

113. "Arise, O Lord, into thy rest." Psalm cxxxii. 8.9.

L. M.

1 GOD in His temple let us meet;
Low on our knees before Him bend:
Here hath He fixed His mercy-seat;
Here on His Sabbath we attend.

2 Arise into Thy resting-place,

Thou, and Thine ark of strength, O Lord! Shine through the veil; we seek Thy face. Speak, for we hearken to Thy word. 3 With righteousness Thy priests array; Joyful Thy chosen people be:

Let those who teach, and those who pray, Let all be holiness to Thee.

114.

"There I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee." Exod. xxv. 22.

1 IN Thy presence we appear:
Lord, we love to worship here,
When, within the veil, we meet
Thee upon Thy mercy-seat.

7's.

2 While Thy glorious Name is sung,
Touch our lips, unloose our tongue :
Then our joyful souls shall bless
Thee, the Lord, our Righteousness.

3 While to Thee our prayers ascend,
Let Thine ear in love attend.
Hear us, for Thy Spirit pleads:
Hear! for Jesus intercedes.

4 While Thy word is heard with awe,
And we tremble at Thy law,
Let Thy gospel's wondrous love
Every doubt and fear remove.

5 While Thy ministers proclaim
Peace and pardon through Thy Name,
In their voices let us own

Jesus speaking from the throne.

6 From Thy house when we return,
Let our hearts within us burn;
That, at evening, we may say,
"We have walked with God to-day."

"The same day at evening. . came Jesus, and stood in the midst." John xx. 19. C. M.

1 ON the first Christian Sabbath eve,
When His disciples met,

O'er His lost fellowship to grieve,
Nor knew the Scriptures yet ;--

2 Lo! in their midst, His form was seen,
The form in which He died,-

Their Master's marred and wounded mien,
His hands, His feet, His side.
