Your heart shall live that seek God.-Ps. 69: 32.

LORD, our gracious Father, we would bring to

Thee our thanksgiving for all Thy great kindness and love to us. We bless Thee for all rememberea or forgotten of Thy providences. We bless

Thee for all the way by which the Lord our God hath led us, and whilst Thou hast been so gracious in the past, we thank Thee that we can hope in Thee perfectly for all the future.

Strengthen us, we pray Thee, that we may draw near to Thee with lowly and obedient spirits. Do Thou quicken us, that we may call upon Thy Name with more earnestness of desire, and more true submission, and more true faith than we sometimes have. We acknowledge that, as we go about our daily work, we too often forget Thee, for Whose sake and by Whose strength it should all be done. We confess that we yield far too much to the temptations that are around us, drawing us away from Thee. We live as if the present world were all we had to do with or depend upon. Do Thou deliver us, we pray Thee, from all foolish over-estimate of the worth of transitory things here, and enable us to rise above the temptations of the fleeting present, and to find in Thyself the treasure that the world cannot give, and no change can take away. Amen.

He is a buckler to all them that trust in Him.
-II Sam. 22:31.

ALMIGHTY GOD, pour out Thy Spirit upon us in

this morning hour, and give us the blessed consciousness of Thy presence as we stand upon the threshold of this new day. Guide us unerringly through each hour by Thy Spirit that we may enter wider fields of usefulness. Strew our common pathway with beautiful and fragrant flowers, and set upon our daily board the plate of plenty and the cup of good cheer. Multiply the qualities of our hearts and the excellencies of our lives, and thrust us out into new regions of experience and service. Help us, loving Father, to interpret life at its highest levels, and with a deep sense of the world's awful need. Enable us, by Thy abounding grace and infinite love, to reflect the Spirit, life and purpose of Jesus Christ to the men whom we meet this day. May we be, in the truest sense, reflectors of God, so that men shall say as did one in the long ago: "I have seen Thy face as though I had seen the face of God." Give us an increasing appreciation of the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ, a Gospel that uplifts, redeems and beautifies the lives of men. Speak to us, gracious Father, that we may go forth to the tasks of this day in faith, hope and love, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Pray, lest ye enter into temptation.-Mark 14: 38.

GOD, our Father and our Mother!

We thank

Thee that like as a father pitieth his children, so dost Thou pity us, and like as a mother comforteth her children, so Thou wilt comfort us.

We thank Thee for our home, and for the home that it suggests to us, where we hope to be forever with Thee, and with each other. For all the good things that come to us, we praise Thee, and we beseech Thee that we may never forget to be grateful to Thee.

Our eyes are closed, for we would shut everything out; we bow before Thee, for we are dependent upon Thee; we have nothing in our clasped hands, nothing with which to buy blessings, and no weapon. O God, wilt Thou keep us from doing anything to grieve Thee, and make us all the day eager to serve Thee in serving others. Help us, that we shall bring gladness into human lives, and never sorrow or pain. We pray for the whole world in its great need of Thee. God keep us, and all whom we love.

Hear us, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.
-Prov. 29: 25.

OUR Heavenly Father, we thank Thee for this day

with its opportunities for service. We thank Thee for food and raiment. We thank Thee for friends, companions and loved ones. We bless Thy Holy Name for letting us have a part in the great work of telling a lost world of Jesus.

We pray Thee to make us channels of blessing this day. May the radiance of our Redeemer be reflected in our lives. May all who come in contact with us take knowledge that we have been with Thee.

Bless us as we go about our daily tasks. In the home; in business; in the classroom; yea, everywhere, may we be true to Thee and to Thy teaching. Whether we eat or whether we drink, or whatsoever we do, may we do all to the glory of God.

Be with our absent loved ones. Bless our city, and those who are in authority. Bless our Church and our pastor. Bless all who are engaged in Thy service.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. We ask it all in Jesus' name. Amen.

Bow down Thine ear, O Lord, hear me: for I am poor and needy. Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O Thou my God, save Thy servant that trusteth in Thee. Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto Thee daily. Rejoice the soul of Thy servant: for unto Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. For Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon Thee. -Ps. 86: 1-5.

GOD, our Heavenly Father, we worship Thee. We thank Thee for rest through the night, and for the light of the morning. Thou art the light of our spirits! As in all nature the plants turn toward the sun, and the flowers even in dark and shady places reach out toward the light, so we look up to Thee, Thou Sun of Righteousness! May the influence of Thy Spirit be felt in our hearts all the day long, cleansing our thoughts, purifying our motives, strengthening us in every good purpose.

Be with us, whether in work or in study, in recreation or repose. If trials fall to our lot, may we be patient; if crosses come to us, may we bear them with courage; if sorrows, may we find consolation in communion with Thee. We pray for our friends and our neighbors. We think of those who are in spiritual darkness, in want and loneliness. Manifest Thy mercy to all mankind, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
