Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven.-Ps. 32: 1.

ALMIGHTY GOD, we praise Thy name and worship

Thee. Thou art infinitely holy. Through Jesus Christ, our Elder Brother and Mediator, Thou art our Father. We pray Thee to come very near to us, as we come to Thy throne of grace.

Help us to trust Thee more each day. Thou dost send the days as Thou wilt; sometimes in darkness and storm; sometimes in brightness and peace. Make us submissive to Thy will in all things, only come Thou with all the days, that each may be full of Thee, and a step nearer to Thy sweet Home.

Bless us all in this home-regard each one of us tenderly as we are bowed in this family circle: father, mother, children, all the loved ones. Make our home a resting place of security. In our outgoing and in our incoming be Thou our Light, our Guide, and our Defence. Give us each grace lovingly and trustfully to give ourselves into Thine hand, to be defended, instructed, and directed as Thou wilt, that in us Thy will may be done on earth as it is done in Heaven. Make all our lives musical with Thy praise; pardon our sins; grant unto us "the joy of Thy salvation," through riches of grace in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.

Pray and make supplication.-II Chr. 6:24.

LORD Our God, we thank Thee for Thy Father

hood, and that Thou hast revealed Thyself unto us through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who is our Saviour. We thank Thee for Thy loving care of us through another day-for life and health and all the comforts we enjoy. Bless us as parents and children. Keep us from sinning against Thee. Help us to be faithful in our work, thoughtful of each other, kind and considerate and helpful to all. Watch over us through the night. If it please Thee, give us sleep, and bring us in safety and comfort to another day. May every day bring us a more perfect trust in Thee, so that with our days we may learn how better to walk in Thy ways, and to do Thy Holy Will, and to become more like Him Who has taught us to pray, saying:

"Our Father Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory forever." Amen.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.-Ephes. 6: 10-12.

UR Heavenly Father, we thank Thee for the rest of the night, and the light of this new day. We also thank Thee for food and raiment and for every other blessing which in Thy goodness and wisdom Thou hast provided for our need and comfort.

We beseech Thee, grant us grace for the temptations of the day, and strength for every duty that may lie in our pathway. Help us truly to represent Thee to-day, and to this end may we hide "Thy Word" in our hearts, that we may not sin against Thee or our fellow men. Grant us the guidance and help of Thy good Spirit. Do Thou protect and defend us from all harm and danger, and when the day's work is done, bring us all again in safety to this, our home.

These things we ask in the Name and for the sake of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.

JAMES M. S. ISENBERG, D.D.,

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God: Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, unto all patience and long suffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.— Coloss, I.

UR Father! worthy of all honor and praise, and Whom we desire to worship in spirit, and in truth, help us humbly come to Thee in prayer in this quiet hour.

May Thy hand, that hovered over us during the past night with protecting care, and measured to us the rich blessings of peaceful slumber and refreshing rest, now guide our feet to the duties of the day, and there shield us from harm. There give us Thy spirit of love and tenderness, Thy grace to sustain us in temptation and trial, Thy presence by Thy Spirit, to help us in all we may do.

Dwell in this home ever. Lead us on to glorify Thee in all things, until at last, life's duties finished, receive us to Thyself above. Amen.

Whatsoever ye ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.Matt. 21: 22.

UR Heavenly Father, gratefully we acknowledge Thy continued loving kindness in protecting us sleeping and waking, and in providing for our daily needs. Forbid that the regularity with which Thy mercies come should ever make us forgetful that they come from Thee. If Thou shouldst withhold a single one, we should plead for its renewal.

Help us to meditate upon Thyself-Thy majesty and power, Thy tender compassion, Thy grief at our sinfulness, Thy grace to help in our time of need. May every gift of Thine come as a messenger from the Throne, summoning us to deeper devotion in heart and life.

Above all, we thank Thee for the Son of Thy love, Thy most gracious Gift to men.

Help us to tread aright the unknown path of another day. Lead Thou us on. And at its close may we be able to look back thankfully that by Thy grace we have heard Thy voice and followed Thee. Guide us in our perplexities; restrain us in our joys; comfort us in our sorrows; guard us in our temptations; and forgive us all our sins; for the sake of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.
