And His Almighty hand The stable fabric stand. One chosen seat design'd ; Desired admittance find ? Whose thoughts from pride are free ; Who honest poverty prefers To gainful perjury. Shall shower His blessings down, Whom God his Saviour shall vouchsafe With righteousness to crown. XXIV. II.-(7, 8, 9, 10.) N. V. ERECT your heads, eternal gates, Unfold to entertain With His celestial train. The Lord for strength renown'd; Eternal victor crown'd. In state to entertain With all His shining train. By His Almighty word at first The heavenly arch was reard, At His command appear’d. He makes in heaps to lie; The wat’ry treasures by. Before Him trembling stand ; 'Twas fix'd at His command. THROUGH all the changing scenes of In trouble and in joy, [life, The praises of my God shall still My heart and tongue employ. Of His deliv'rance I will boast, Till all that are distress'd From my example comfort take, And charm their griefs to rest. O magnify the Lord with me, With me exalt His Name: He to my rescue came. Experience will decide, Who in His truth confide. N. V. XXXIII. happy are the folk, to whom The Lord for God is known; Whom He from all the world besides Has chosen for His own!
