N. v. LET all the lands with shouts of joy
behold the works of God, To God their voices raise ;
And then with me you'll own, Sing psalms in honour of His Name,
That He to all the sons of men And spread His glorious praise.
Has wondrous judgments shown. Through all the earth the nations round He by His power for ever rules ; Shall Thee their God confess;
His eyes the world survey ; And with glad hymns their awful dread
Let no presumptuous man rebel Of Thy great Name express,
Against His sov'reign sway.
In mercy, Lord, incline;
On all Thy saints to shine.
And Thy salvation own.
To celebrate Thy fame;
To praise Thy glorious Name.
With joy and pious mirth,
Shalt govern all the earth.
I.-(1, 2, 3. 6. 9.) N. V. IN The I put my stedfast trust,
Defend me, Lord, from shame ;
For righteous is Thy Name.
To which I may resort;
Thou art my rock and fort.
My tender infant days;
To sing Thy constant praise. Reject not then Thy servant, Lord,
When I with age decay, Forsake me not when, worn with years, My vigour fades away.
II.-(16. 19, 20. 24.) N. V. WH THILE God vouchsafes me His support,
I'll in His strength go on;
And mention His alone.
How great and wondrous are
Who may with Thee compare ?
Thy grace shall yet relieve,
With tender care retrieve.
Employ my cheerful voice ;
Shall in Thy strength rejoice.
N. V. THY uncontroll’d dominion shall
To Thee shall ev'ry king on earth
His humble homage pay,
And difføring nations gladly join
To own Thy righteous sway.
The mem'ry of Thy glorious Name
Through endless years shall run ; From spicy Sheba gifts shall come,
Thy spotless fame shall shine as bright And wealthy Seba's king.
And lasting as the sun.
1.—(14, 15. 17, 18.)
From heaven do Thou look down;
Thy vineyard overthrown.
Which Thy right hand hath set;
O Lord, do not forget.
Whom Thou hast kept so long;
To Thee hast made so strong.
And saved us from shame;
But call upon Thy Name.
