- Day of all the week the best, Emblem of e - ter - nal rest;
VERSEs 2, 3, 4. HYMN 382. While we seek supplies of grace Who shall towards thy chosen seat Through the dear Redeemer's name, Turn, O Lord, his favored feet? Show thy reconciling face;— Who shall at thine altar bend? Take away our sin and shame. Who shall Zion's hill ascend ? From our worldly cares set free, Who, great God, a welcome guest, May we rest this day in thee. On thy holy mountain rest ? Here we come thy name to praise: He whose heart thy love has warmed; Let us feel thy presence near; . He whose will, to thine conformed, May thy glory meet our eyes Bids his life unsullied run ; While we in thy house appear; He whose word and thought are one; Here afford us, Lord, a taste Who, from sin's contagion free, Of our everlasting feast. Lifts his willing soul to thee. May the gospel's joyful sound He who thus, with heart unstained, Conquer sinners, comfort saints; Treads the path by thee ordained, Make the fruits of grace abound; He shall towards thy chosen seat Bring relief from all complaints. Turn, O Lord, his favored feet; Thus let all our sabbaths prove, He thy ceaseless care shall prove,
Till we join the church above. He shall share thy constant love.
Soon our dearest comforts fly Pleasures on - ly bloom to die.
Pilgrim, come ! for here is found - Long hast borne the cold world's scorn, Baim that flows for every wound;
Come! said Jesus' sacred voice,
Thou who, houseless and forlorn,
Iong hast roamed the barren waste,_
Weary pilgrim, hither hastel
Here, in love forever blest,
