O CHRIST the GOD, Who art Worshipped and Glorified in all times and all hours, in Heaven and upon earth; Who art long-suffering, full of mercy, and plenteous in tenderness-of-heart; Who lovest the righteous, and art merciful to the sinners; Who hast called all to salvation by the promise of the Good-things to come: Thyself, O LORD, accept also these our prayers at this hour, and make straight our life by Thy commandments. Sanctify our souls, purify the bodies, correct the thoughts, cleanse the minds, and deliver us from all affliction, evil, and pain. Protect us by Thy Holy Angels, that, being safe under their guardianship and guidance, we may attain unto the unity of the faith, and to the knowledge of Thine unapproachable Glory: for Thou art Blessed, to the ages of the ages. Amene.

LORD, have mercy. LORD, have mercy. LORD, have mercy.
Glory to the FATHER, and to the SON, and to the Holy GHOST:
Both now, and ever, and to the ages of the ages.

Amene.

The more-honourable than the Cherubim, and beyond-compare moreglorious than the Seraphim; who didst bear without corruption GOD the WORD: thee, verily the Theotokos, we magnify.

In the Name of the LORD, father, give a Blessing.

Prayer of Basil the Great, from the Mesorion.

Priest. O GOD, and LORD of the Powers, and Maker of all creation, Who, through the bowels of Thine unconquerable mercy, hast sent-down Thine Only-Begotten Son, our LORD JESUS CHRIST, for the salvation of our race, and through His honourable Cross hast torn in pieces the handwriting of our sins, and in It hast triumphed over the principalities and dominions of darkness: Thyself, O MASTER, Lover-of-men, receive, also from us, sinners, these thanksgivings and supplicatory intercessions, and deliver us from every destruction and dark stumbling, and from all enemies, visible and invisible, who seek to do us evil. Nail our fleshes from fear of Thee, and incline not our hearts to evil words and reasonings, but wound our souls with desire of Thee: that, looking always towards Thee, and walking in Thy Light, beholding Thee the unapproachable and everlasting Light, we may unceasingly offer to Thee the confession and

thanksgiving, to the FATHER Unoriginate, with Thine Only-Begotten SON, and to Thine All-Holy, and Good, and Life-giving SPIRIT, now, and ever, and to the ages of the ages.

Choir. Amene.

Priest. Glory to Thee, O CHRIST the GOD, our Hope; Glory to Thee.
Choir. Glory to the FATHER, and to the SON, and to the Holy GHOST:
Both now, and ever, and to the ages of the ages. Amene.

Reader. O come, let us worship, and bow down to our King, God. O come, let us worship, and bow down to CHRIST our King, GOD. O come, let us worship, and bow down to CHRIST Himself, our King and GOD.

Psalm 83.

How lovely are Thy Tabernacles, O LORD of Powers: my soul longeth and fainteth for the Courts of the LORD.

My heart and my flesh have exulted in the Living GOD.

For the sparrow also hath found itself a house, and the turtle-dove a uest for herself, where she may lay her young.

Thine Altars, O LORD of Powers, my King and my GOD.

Blessed are they that dwell in Thy House, to the ages of the ages they shall praise Thee.

Blessed is the man whose help is from Thee: in his heart he hath purposed to go up the valley of weeping, to the place He hath appointed. For there also the Lawgiver will grant blessings: they shall go from power to power: the GoD of Gods shall be seen in Sion.

O LORD, the God of Powers, hear my prayer; hearken, O GOD of Jacob. Behold, O GOD our Defender, and look-upon the Face of Thy CHRIST. For one day in Thy Courts is better above thousands.

I have chosen to be an abject in the House of my GoD, rather than I would dwell in tabernacle of sinners.

For the LORD loveth mercy and truth; Gop will give grace and glory; the LORD will not withold good from them that walk in innocence.

O LORD, the God of Powers, blessed is the man who hopeth in Thee.

Psalm 84.

O LORD, Thou hast good-pleasure in Thine earth, Thou hast turnedaway the captivity of Jacob.

Thou hast forgiven Thy people their transgressions, Thou hast covered all their sins.

Thou hast caused all Thine anger to cease, Thou hast turned-away from the wrath of Thine anger.

Turn us, O GOD of our salvation, and turn-away Thy wrath from us. Wilt Thou be angry with us for ever? or wilt Thou extend Thine anger from generation to generation?

O GOD, Thou wilt turn and quicken us; and Thy people shall rejoice in Thee.

Show us Thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us Thy salvation.

I will hearken what the LORD GOD will speak in me: for He shall speak peace unto His people, and to His religious-ones, and to those who turn their heart towards Him.

Moreover, His salvation is near to them that fear Him, that glory may tabernacle in our earth.

Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed. Truth hath sprung out of the earth, and righteousness hath looked down from the Heaven.

For the LORD will give goodness, and our earth shall give her fruit. Righteousness shall go before Him, and shall set His steps in the way. Psalm 85.

Incline Thine Ear, O LORD, and hear me, for I am poor and needy.

O guard my soul, for I am religious; my GOD, save Thy servant who hopeth in Thce.

Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for to Thee have I cried all the day; gladden the soul of Thy servant, for unto Thee have I lifted-up my soul, For Thou, O LORD, art good and gentle, and plenteous in mercy to all that call upon Thee.

Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer, and attend to the voice of my petition. In the day of mine affliction I cried unto Thee, for Thou didst hear me. There is none like unto Thee, O LORD, among the Gods; and there is none according to Thy works.

All the nations, which Thou hast made, shall come and worship before Thee, O LORD, and shall glorify Thy Name.

For Thou art Great, and doest wonders; Thou art GOD Alone.

Guide me, O LORD, in Thy way, and I will walk in Thy Truth; let my heart be glad, that I may fear Thy Name.

I will confess to Thee, O LORD, with my whole heart, and I will glorify Thy Name for ever.

For Thy mercy is great towards me, and Thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest Hades.

O GOD, transgressors have risen up against me, and the assembly of the strong have sought after my soul, and have not set Thee before them. And Thou, O LORD my GOD, art compassionate and merciful, long-suffering, plenteous in mercy, and true.

Look upon me, and have mercy on me; give Thy strength to Thy servant, and save the son of Thy handmaid.

Make with me a token for good, and let them that hate me see it and be ashamed: for Thou, O LORD, hast helped me, and comforted me.

¶And again:

Make with me a token for good, and let them that hate me see it and be ashamed for Thou, O LORD, hast helped me, and comforted me. Glory to the FATHER, and to the SON, and to the Holy GHOST: Both now, and ever, and to the ages of the ages. Amene. Alleluia. Alleluia. Alleluia. Alleluia. Alleluia. Alleluia. Alleluia. Alleluia. Alleluia.

Glory to Thee, O GOD.
Glory to Thee, O GOD.
Glory to Thee, O GOD.

LORD, have mercy. LORD, have mercy. LORD, have mercy.
