Worthy the Lamb, for sinners slain, Through endless years to live and reign; Thou hast redeem'd us by Thy blood, And made us kings and priests to God." HYMN 76.
Lord of the Sabbath! hear us pray, In this Thy house, on this Thy day; Accept, as grateful sacrifice,
The songs which from Thy temple rise. Now met to pray, and bless Thy Name, Whose mercies flow each day the same; Whose kind compassions never cease, We seek instruction, pardon, peace.
Thine earthly Sabbaths, Lord we love, But there's a nobler rest above; O that we might that rest attain, From sin, from sorrow, and from pain. Oh! long expected day, begin; Dawn on this world of woe and sin; Fain would we leave this weary road, To sleep in death, and rest in God.
HYMN 77.
Mine eyes and my desire Are ever to the Lord;
I love to plead His promises, And rest upon His word. When shall the sov'reign grace Of my forgiving God
Restore me from those dangerous ways My wand'ring feet have trod?
O keep my soul from death, Nor put my hope to shame; For I have plac'd my only trust In my Redeemer's name.
With humble faith I wait To see Thy face again; Of Israel it shall ne'er be said, He sought the Lord in vain.
Meet and right it is to sing Glory to our God and King; Meet, in ev'ry time and place To rehearse His solemn praise. Angels! let His praise abound; Join ye saints the solemn sound; Publish through the world abroad Glory to th' eternal God.
Praises here to Thee we give ; Gracious, Thou our thanks receive; Holy Father, sov'reign Lord, Ev'rywhere be Thou ador'd.
My God, and is Thy table spread, And doth Thy cup with love o'erflow? Thither be all Thy children led,
And let them all Thy sweetness know.
Hail! sacred feast, which Jesus makes, Rich banquet of His flesh and blood! Thrice happy he who here partakes
That sacred stream, that heav'nly food. Oh! let Thy table honour'd be,
And furnish'd well with joyful guests! And may each soul salvation see, That here its sacred pledges tastes.
Revive Thy dying Churches, Lord, Bid all our drooping graces live; And more, that energy afford, A Saviour's blood alone can give. HYMN 80.
My God, my Father, while I stray Far from my home in life's rough way, O teach me from my heart to say- "Thy will be done, Thy will be done." If Thou should'st call me to resign What most I prize, it ne'er was mine; I only yield Thee what was Thine- Thy will be done, Thy will be done." If but my fainting heart be blest With Thy sweet spirit for its guest, My God, to Thee I leave the rest- "Thy will be done, Thy will be done." Renew my will from day to day; Blend it with Thine, and take away All that now makes it hard to say— Thy will be done, Thy will be done."
Then, when on earth I breathe no more The pray'r oft mix'd with tears before, I'll sing, upon a happier shore-
"Thy will be done, Thy will be done."
Nearer, my God, to Thee, nearer to Thee! E'en though it be a cross that raiseth me; Still all my song shall be― [Thee." "Nearer my God, to Thee,-Nearer to
Though like a wanderer the sun goes down, Darkness comes over me-my rest a stone; Yet in my dreams I'll be [Thee. Nearer, my God, to Thee,-Nearer to
Then let the way appear leading to Heav'n, All that Thou sendest me in mercy given, Angels to beckon me [Thee. Nearer, my God, to Thee,-Nearer to
Then with my waking thoughts bright with Thy praise,
Out of my secret griefs, altars I'll raise; So by my woes to be
[Thee. Nearer, my God, to Thee,-Nearer to
Or if on joyful wing cleaving the sky, [fly, Sun, Moon, and Stars forgot, upwards I'll Still all my song shall be- [Thee." "Nearer, my God, to Thee,-Nearer to HYMN 82.
Not all the blood of beasts
On Jewish altars slain
Could give the guilty conscience peace, Or wash away the stain. But Christ, the Heav'nly Lamb, Takes all our sins away;
A sacrifice of nobler name, And richer blood than they. Believing, we rejoice
To see the curse removed;
We bless the Lamb with cheerful voice, And sing His bleeding love.
To God the Father, Son,
And Spirit, glory be;
As t'was, and is, and shall be so, To all eternity.
O'er the realms of pagan darkness Let the eye of pity gaze; See the kindreds of the people Lost in sin's bewild'ring maze ; Darkness brooding,
On the face of all the earth.
Light of them that sit in darkness! Rise and shine; Thy blessings bring; Light to lighten all the Gentiles ! Rise, with healing on Thy wing; To Thy brightness,
Let all kings and nations come.
May the heathen now adoring Idol-gods of wood and stone, Come, and worshiping before Him,
