HYMN - LXIV.

Pf. cxxxix. 7.-13.

I.

LORD, where fhall guilty Souls retire,

Forgotten and

In Hell they meet thy vengeful Ire,
In Heav'n thy glorious Throne.
II..

Should they fupprefs their vital Breath,~-
T' efcape the Wrath Divine,

Thy Voice would break the Bars of Death,
And make the Grave refign.

HI

If wing'd with Beams of Morning Light
They fly beyond the Weft,

Thine Hand, which must support their Flight,.
Would foon betray their Reft.
IV.

If o'er their Sins they feek to draw
The Curtains of the Night,.

Thofe flaming Eyes that guard thy Law,
Would turn the Shades to Light.
V.

The Beams of Noon, the Midnight Hour,
Are both alike to Thee:

O may we ne'er provoke that Pow'r
From which we cannot flee !

To make this Duty our Delight.

He crowns the Meek, rewards the Juft,
And treads the Wicked to the Duft.

His Saints are lovely in his Sight,
He views his Children with Delight:
He fees their Hopes, He knows their
And looks and loves his Image there.
V.

Praife him all Creatures here below!

Praise him above, ye heav'nly Hoft,
