BE IT REMEMBERED, that on the twenty-second day of April, A. D. 1829, in the fifty-third year of the Independence of the United States of America, ELIZA ROBINS, of the said district, has deposited in this office the title of a book, the right whereof she claims as author and proprietor, in the words following, to wit:

"American Popular Lessons, chiefly selected from the writings of Mrs. Barbauld, Miss Edgeworth, and other ap proved writers. Revised and corrected by the author. Designed particularly for the younger classes of children in schools. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child.-St. Paul."

In conformity to the Act of the Congress of the United States, entitled, "An Act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of Maps, Charts, and Books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies, during the time therein mentioned." And also to an Act, entitled, "An Act supplementary to an Act, entitled, an Act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of Maps, Charts, and Books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies, during the times therein mentioned, and extending the benefits thereof to the arts of designing, engraving, and etching historical and other prints."
