Maaleh-acrabbim, and passed along to Zin, ng up to and ascended up on the fouth-fide unto Kadesh-barnea: and passed along to Hezron, and went up to Adar, and fetched a compasse to Karkaa. 4 From thence it passed toward Azmon, and went out unto the river of Egypt, and the goings out of that coast were at the sea: this ihall be your fouth-coaft, And the east-border was the falt-fea, even unto the end of Jordan:and their border in the north-quarter, was from the bay of the sea, at the uttermost part of Jordan. 6 And the border went up to Beth-hogla, and passed along by the north of Beth-arabah, and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the fonne of Reuben. 7 And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and fo north-ward looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the fouthfide of the river: and the border passed towards the waters of En-shemesh, and the goings out thereof were at*En-rogel. *Kings 8 And the border went up by the valley of 1.9. the fonne of Hinnom, unto the fouth-fide of the Jebufite, the same is Jerufalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain, that theth before the valley of Hinnom, westward, which is at the end of the valley of the giants north ward. 9 And the border was drawn from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron, and the border was drawn to Baalah, which is Kirjath-jearim. 10 And the border compassed from Baalah west-ward unto mount Ser, and passed along unto the fide of mount Jearim(whichis Che falon) on the north-fide, and went down to Beth-shemesh, and passed on to Timnah. II And the border went out unto the side of Ekron north-ward: and the border was drawn to Shicron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out unto Jebneel; and the goings out of the border were at the fea. 12 And the west-border was to the great sea, and the coast thereof: this is the coast of the children of Judah round about, according to their families. 13 And unto Caleb the sonne of Jephunneh, he gave a part among the children of. Hezron, which is Hazor, 26 Aman, and Shema, and Moladah, 27 And Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon,and Beth-palet 28 And Hazar-shuat, and Beer-sheba, and Bizjothjah. 29. Ephraim are among the cities of Manasseh: the coast of Manasseh also was on the northside of the river, and the out-goings of it were at the fea. 10 South-ward it was Ephraims, and northward it was Manassehs, and the sea is his border, and they met together in Asher on the north, and in Issachar on the east. II And Manasseh had in Issachar and in Asher, Beth-shean and her towns, and Ibleam and her towns, and the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, and the inhabitants of En-dor and her towns, and the inhabitants of Taanach and her towns and the inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns, even three countreys. 12 Yet the children of Manasseh could not drive out the inhabitants of those cities, but the Canaanites would dwell in that land. 13 Yet it came to paffe when the children of Ifrael were waxen strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute; but did not utterly drive them out. 14 And the children of Joseph spake unto Joshua, faying, Why haft thou given me but one lot and one portion to inherit, feeing I am a great people, forafmuch as the LORD hath blessed me hitherto? Is And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the woodcountrey, and cut down for thy folf there in the land of the Perizzites, and of the #giants, if & Or, Re mount Ephraim be to narrow for thee. 16 And the children of Joseph faid, The hill is not enough for us: and all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley, havechariots of iron, both they who are of Beth-shean and her towns, and they who are of the valley of Jezreel. 17 And Joshua spake unto the house of Jofeph, even to Ephraim, and to Manasseh, faying, Thou art a great people, and haft great power: thou shalt not have one lot onely. 1 18 But the mountain shall be thine, for it is a woods phaims. |
