tion of the Fulnefs of Times, he might gather together in one all Things in Chrift, both which are in Heaven and which are on Earth, even in him.

The NATURE of CHRIST.

CHRIST is GOD.

In the Beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All Things were made by him; and without him. was not any Thing made that was made.

Jefus Chrift, he is Lord of all; the one Lord, by whom are all Things, and we by him; who is over all, God bleffed for ever. By whom alfo God made the Worlds.

By him were all Things created that are in Heaven and that are in Earth, vifible and invifible; whether they be Thrones, or Dominions, or Principalities, or Powers; all Things were created by him and for him.

And he is before all Things, and by him all Things confift: Who upholdeth all Things by the Word of his Power.

This is the beloved Son of God in whom he is well pleased; the only begotten of the Father; who proceeded forth and came from God; the Brightnefs of his Glory, and the exprefs Image of his Perfon; in whom dwelleth all the Fulness of the Godhead bodily.

As the Father hath Life in himfelf, fo hath he given to the Son to have Life in himself.

He and his Father are one. He is in the Father, and the Father in him. All Things that the Father hath are his; and what Things foever the Father doth, these alfo doth the Son likewife. " He faid alfo that God was his Father, making himfelf equal with God.

He is the first, and the laft: It is he that liveth, and was dead, and behold he is alive for evermore; Jefus Chrift, the fame yesterday, and to-day, and for ever. For thus faith God unto the Son, Thy Throne, O God, is for ever and ever; a Scepter of Righteoufnefs is the Scepter of thy Kingdom.

* Great is the Mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Chrift; in whom are hid all the Treasures of Wifdom and Knowledge.

y Jefus knew all Men, and needed not that any thould teftify of Man; for he knew what was in Man. He knew from the Beginning who they were that believed not, and who thould betray him. And when any reafoned within themfelves, he perceived their Thoughts. For it is he that fearcheth the Reins and Hearts.

z We are fure that he knew all Things; and by this we believe that he came forth from God.

All

a All Power was given unto him in Heaven and in Earth; and the Works that he did bare Witness of him; for the Winds and the Sea obeyed him. With Authority and Power he commanded the unclean Spirits, and they obeyed him. And there were alfo many other wonderful Things that Jefus did, which none other Man did.

He had power on Earth to forgive Sins; and who can forgive Sins but God only?

As the Father raifeth up the Dead, and quickeneth them; even fo the Son quickeneth whom he will.

And he gave his Difciples Power and Authority over all Devils and unclean Spirits, to cast them out; and Power to heal all manner of Sicknefs, and all manner of Difeafe.

We can do all Things through Christ, which ftrengtheneth us; and without him we can do nothing; who is able even to subdue all Things unto himself.

It is he that openeth, and no Man fhutteth; and fhutteth, and no Man openeth; and hath the Keys of Hell and of Death.

This is He that is holy; He that is true; Jefus Chrift the Righteous; who will give unto every one according to their Works.

He is the Way, the Truth and the Life; the Refurrection and the Life, who giveth Grace, and Peace, and eternal Life.

i This is the true God, even the Son of God, Jefus Chrift; whom his Difciples worshipped while he was with them in the World, and after he was carried up into Heaven; when the Father glorified him with the Glory which he had with him before the World was.

And they preached, baptized, and blessed inthe Name of Jefus Chrift: They prayed to him, and thanked him; and from him they expected Grace, Mercy, and Peace, and all other fpiritual Bleffings, and Gifts..

Thefe Things are written that we might be-: lieve that Jefus is the Chrift, the Son of God;" that we fhould truft in his Name; and that all Men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father; who when he brought in the Firstbegotten into the World, faith, And let all the Angels of God worship him..

This is the Doctrine of the great God, and our Saviour Jefus Chrift; to him be Glory both, now and for ever...

He was made MAN.

"Chrift Jefus being in the Form of God, and thinking it no Robbery to be equal with God, made himself of no Reputation, and took upon him the Form of a Servant, and was made in the Likeness of Men, and was found in Fashion as a Man, being made of a Woman in the Likeness of finful Flesh.

• He came down from Heaven, from the Bosom of the Father; and being made a little lower than the Angels, as the Children of Men are Partakers of Flesh and Blood, he also himself likewife took Part of the fame.

P And the Word was made Flesh, and dwelt among us: God was manifeft in the Flesh.

For verily, he took not on him the Nature of Angels; but he took on him the Seed of Abraham, and was made of the Seed of David, of whom, as concerning the Flefh, Chrift came.

Now the Birth of Jefus Chrift was on this wife: When as his Mother Mary was efpoufed to Jofeph, before they came together, the Holy . Ghoft came upon her, and the Power of the Highest overshadowed her, and fo fhe conceived and brought forth a Son, who was called Jefus; and therefore alfo becaufe fhe was with Child of the Holy Ghost, that Holy Thing which was born of her was called the Son of God, and Emanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
