2. SIX LECTURES on POPERY; delivered in King Street Chapel, Maidstone. By WILLIAM GROSER. 12mo. price 3s. 6d. published at 5s.

"These Lectures contain a clear and well digested exposure of Popish errors, and are highly calculated to prepare the mind for other more elaborate works. They are six in number, and very ably discuss the following subjects:-First, The Principles of Popery-Secondly, Its Worship and authorized CustomsThirdly, Its Tyranny-Fourthly, Its Rise-Fifthly, Its Tendency-Sixthly, The means which should be adopted to subvert it."—Evan. Mag.

"To our readers generally, and especially to the young, we beg leave to recommend a careful perusal of this volume. It abounds in interesting information and sound argument, expressed in perspicuous and forcible language. Though avowedly a controversial work, it has the merit of being entirely free from disingenuousness, asperity, and slander; and is of decidedly practical tendency. Mr. G. is well entitled to the thanks of the Protestant community." Bap. Mag.

"As an Elementary Treatise, it stands unrivalled by any thing we know; and glad should we be, could it find its way into the hands of the rising generation universally, as an antidote against the seductive artifices of the Catholic priesthood."-New Bap. Mag.

WILBUR'S REFERENCE TESTAMENT, FOR BIBLE CLASSES. Second Edition, from the Sixth American Edition, with three Maps, price 4s. in boards, or 4s. 6d. in sheep,

3. The REFERENCE TESTAMENT; being the common Version of the New Testament, with References and a Key of Questions, Geographical, Historical, Doctrinal, Practical, and Experimental, designed to facilitate the acquisition of Scriptural Knowledge in Bible Classes, Schools, Sunday Schools, and Private Families. To which is added, Outlines for Bible Class Instruction, Table of Proper Names, accented for correct Pronunciation, Geographical Table, Chronological_Table, Table of Reference to the Prophecies, and a Miscellaneous Table. By HERVEY WILBUR, A.M.

This Edition contains correct Maps of the Land of Canaan; the principal Travels of our Saviour; and the Voyages and Travels of St. Paul; which will greatly increase the utility of the Work.

Purchasers of the first edition may have the Maps separate, at 6d. the set. "This is, without exception, one of the most complete editions of the New Testament, on a small scale, that has yet issued from the press; and cannot fail, under the divine blessing, to promote a personal knowledge of divine truth. On every verse of the text, appropriate inquiries are suggested to the reader, by means of references to a Key appended to the volume. The tables are got up with great judgment and care, and will be found extremely useful, not only to the youthful reader, but also to the more advanced Christian."-Christian Recorder, March 19, 1820.

"The plan of this work is, as far as we know, quite new; and its simplicity, as well as its efficiency, in promoting the object of the Editor, must give it very powerful claims to public approbation. A Key Sheet constitutes its peculiarity and chief excellence, suggesting a great number of questions to the reader of the New Testament, in a very simple and excellent form. Apart from the real utility of the suggestions, in a course of Scripture reading, they have a tendency to beget a habit of reflection and self-examination, which cannot but be attended with beneficial effects. We dismiss this excellent and very cheap book with unqualified commendation. It is very handsomely printed, and will form a, valuable present, to young persons especially."-The Ecclesiastic, April 18,

1829.
