O, thou dear Shepherd of the sheep,
Haft thou not here a flock to keep?
Teach them thy charming voice to know;
Lead them where living waters flow.
As all thy fheep are one in thee,
Keep them in peace and unity
O give them all one heart and mind!
Make them affectionate and kind!
And may our conversation prove
The sweet conftraining force of love!
May grace reftrain corruption's pow'r,
"Till fin and forrow be no more!

HILL'S Col,

At Parting.

NOR a feafon call'd to part,

FOR

Let us now ourselves commend,

To the gracious eye and heart
Of our ever-present Friend.
Jefus, hear our humble pray'r!
Tender Shepherd of thy fheep!
Let thy mercy and thy care
All our fouls in fafety keep.
In thy ftrength may we be ftrong,
Sweeten ev'ry cross and pain:
Give us, if we live, ere long

Here to meet in peace again.

Then, if thou thy help afford,
Eben-ezers fhall be rear'd;

And our fouls fhall praise the Lord,
Who our poor petitions heard.

DODDRIDGE.

Public Service preceding the Lord's Supper.

THE King of heav'n his table spreads,

And dainties crown the board;

Not paradife, with all its joys,
Could fuch delight afford.

Pardon and peace to dying men,
And endless life are giv'n;
Thro' the rich blood that Jefus fhed
To raise the foul to heav'n.

Ye hungry poor, that long have stray'd
In fin's dark mazes, come;

Come, from your most obscure retreats,
And grace iball find you room.

Millions of fouls, in glory now,
Were fed, and feasted here;
And millions more, ftill on the way,
Around the board,
appear.

Yet is his house and heart fo large,

That millions more may come,
Nor could the whole affembled world
O'er-fill the fpacious room.

All things are ready, come away,
Nor weak excufes frame;

Crowd to your places at the feast,

And ble's the founder's name.
