24 Then answered Simon, and said, "Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.

25 And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the Gospel in many vil. lages of the Samaritans.

26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.

27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch 10 of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had 'come to Jerusalem for to worship,

servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds. PRO. v. 22: His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins. ISA. xxviii. 22: Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong.

is not of thy people Israel, but is come from a far country for thy great name's sake, and thy mighty hand, and thy stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house; then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as doth thy people Israel. JOHN, xii. 20: There were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast.

37 And Philip said, "If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, 'I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
