5 I would, but thou must give the power ;
My heart from every stain release:
Bring near, bring near the joyful hour,
And fill me with thy perfect peace.

6 Come, Lord, the drooping sinner cheer,
Nor let thy chariot wheels delay;
Appear in my poor heart, appear—
My God, my Saviour, come away!

HYMN 14. C. M.

Providence.

1 God moves in a mysterious way,
His wonders to perform ;
He plants his footsteps in the sea,
And rides upon the storm.

2 Deep in unfathomable mines
Of never ailing skill,

He treasures up his bright designs,
And works his sovereign will.

3 Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take; The clouds you so much dread

Are big with mercy, and shall break
In blessings on your head.

4 Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
But trust him for his grace;
Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face.

5 Ne wa hon ni sa non ji neh,
Wa denr ha rat n'e thoh ;
Teh tse non we ronh ro ya ner,
Ne sea ni denh ton hak.

6 Se nya hes ne ra o ten rat,

TEYERIHWAHKWATHA 15. C. M.

5 His purposes will ripen fast,
Unfolding every hour;

The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flower.

6 Blind unbelief is sure to err,
And scan his work in vain ;
God is his own interpreter,
And he will make it plain.

HYMN 15. C. M.

Christian Fellowship.

1. Lo, what an entertaining sight,
Those friendly brethren prove,
Whose cheerful hearts in bands unite
Of harmony and love!

2 What streams of bliss from Christ the spring, Descend on every soul;

And heavenly peace with balmy wing,
Shades and revives the whole.

3 'Tis pleasant as the morning dews
That fall on Zion's hill,

Where God his mildest glory shows,
And makes his grace distil.

TEYERIHWAHKWATHA 16. S. M.

A da de no ronh n'ya go rih wi yohs tonh.

HYMN 16. S. M.

Christian Fellowship.

1 Blest be the tie that binds

Our hearts in christian love; The fellowship of kindred minds Is like to that above.

2 Before our Father's throne

We pour our ardent prayers; Our fears, our hopes, our aims are one, Our comforts and our cares.

3 We share our mutual woes,
Our mutual burdens bear;
And often for each other flows
The sympathizing tear.

4 When we asunder part,

It gives us inward pain;

But we shall still be joined in heart,
And hope to meet again.

5 This glorious hope revives
Our courage by the way;
While each in expectation lives,

And longs to see the day.

6 From sorrow, toil, and pain, And sin, we shall be free ;

And perfect love and friendship reign Through all eternity.
