33 "O COME TO THE MERCIFUL SAVIOUR." 12.11.12.II. Small notes verse 4. E. H. E. A. Small notes verse 4. Small notes verses 1, 3, 4, 5. Small notes verse 5. 830 A-men. 0 COME to the merciful Saviour that calls you, Though dark be the fortune on earth that befalls you, O come, for your exile will shortly be ended, And JESUS will show you His beautiful Face. Then come to the Saviour Whose Mercy grows brighter And fear not 'tis JESUS; and life's cares grow lighter Have you sinned as none else in the world have before you? Oh, fear not, and doubt not; the mother that bore you Loves you less than the Saviour Whose Blood you have spilt. Then come to His Feet and lay open your story For the pardon of sin is the crown of His glory, And the joy of our LORD to be true to His Name. Amen. LIGHT and comfort of my soul, When the billows o'er me roll Thou dost bid me, in Thy word, Cast my burden on the LORD; JESUS, Saviour once betrayed, Sacrifice for sinners made; Wretched, lost, I cry to Thee, Friend of sinners, plead for me. JESUS, I in tears would mourn Faithful watcher still with Thee; Mocked and scourged-condemned to die, On Thy cross extended high ; Tenant of the lonely tomb, Mighty Victor o'er its gloom, Rising to Thy Throne above, Crowned, victorious King of Love; LORD of Lords, to Thee I flee, Friend of sinners, plead for me. Amen. |
