ONCE more before we part,

We'll bless the Saviour's name:

Record his mercies ev'ry heart,
Sing ev'ry tongue the same.

2 Lay up his sacred word,

And feed thereon and grow; Go on to seek, to know the Lord, And practice what you know.

HART.

1 DISMISS us with thy blessing, Lord, Help us to feed upon thy word;

All that has been amiss forgive,
And let thy truth within us live.

2 Though we are guilty, thou art good,
Wash all our sins in Jesu's blood,,
Give every fetter'd soul release,
And bid us all depart in peace.

ANON.

1ORD dismiss us with thy blessing,
Fill our hearts with joy and peace,
Let us each, thy love possessing,
Triumph in redeeming grace:
O refresh us!

Trav❜ling through this wilderness.

2 Thanks we give and adoration,
For the gospel's joyful sound;
May the fruits of thy salvation,
In our hearts and lives abound:
May thy presence

With us evermore be found.

NEWTON.

1 MAY the grace of Christ our Saviour, And the Father's boundless love,

With the Holy Spirit's favour,

Rest upon us from above.

2 Thus may we abide in union
With each other and the Lord;
And possess in sweet communion,
Joys which earth cannot afford.

SABBATH.

L. M. Sabbath Morning.

STENNETT.

ANOTHER six day's work is done,

Another sabbath is begun;

Return, my soul, enjoy the rest,
Improve the day, thy God hath bless'd.

2 Come, bless the Lord, whose love as

signs

So sweet a rest to wearied minds;
Provides an antepast of heav'n,
And gives this day the food of seven.

3 O that our thoughts and thanks may rise, As grateful incense, to the skies;

And draw from heav'n that sweet repose
Which none, but he that feels it, knows.

4 In holy duties, let the day,

In holy pleasures, pass away;

How sweet a Sabbath thus to spend,
In hope of one that ne'er shall end!

HOW sweet the day of rest,
Day which God himself hath blest;
Emblem of a better heaven;
Brightest day of all the seven.

2 Lord, we love the Sabbath day,
Love to meet to praise and pray,
Love to hear the gospel theme;
Jesus did our souls redeem.-

3 Sabbath days will soon be o’er,
We shall meet on earth no more;
May we then, through sov'reign love,
Spend a Sabbath day above.

C. M. Sabbath Evening. EVANS.

1 THE cloud hath fill'd the sacred place, The glory hath appear'd!

The Lord hath spread abroad his grace,
And all our hearts are cheer'd.

2 It hath been good to worship here;
Such blessings have been giv'n,
As prove it is the house of God,
The very gate of heav'n.

Lord we would all our Sabbaths spend
In such divine employ,

Till ev'ry earthly work shall end
In heav'n's eternal joy.

L. M. Baptism of Children.

WASHBOURN.

1 FOR ever blessed be the grace, That smiles upon our infant race; Christians, "the promise is to you,"

b Yes, and to all "your children," too.

2 Thousands of years are pass'd and fled, Since God his gracious cov’nant made ; That grace to Abrah'm was reveal'd, Which on the cross the Saviour seal'd.

3 Jesus the kind Redeemer came,

Not to blot out the children's name;
Their cov❜nant right had ages stood,
And he confirm'd it with his blood.
