To Christ.

DEAR Jesus who can
Sufficiently Praise,
In Lises narrow span,

Thy wonderful Grace;
O pardon us freely,

Thro' Faith in thy Blood, And now let us feel thee, Our Saviour and God.

The Cherubs of Light*

Declare thy Renown-* While Seraphs delight,

Thy Love to make known, So great is thy Glory,

So fearful thy Praise, That Angels adore thee,

With Veils on their Face.

Thy Churches on Earth,

Rejoicing in Hope,, In Anthems of Mirth,

Their Voices lift up; Their Life is in feeling,

The Work of thy Grace, Their Joy in revealing,

And singing thy Praise.

Thrice holy art thou,

How bright is thy Throne, G suffer us nows

Our Souls to bow down;

Thy Thy Love in Creation,

While Angels proclaim, We sing thy Salvation,

O Jesus the Lamb.

riOME holy Spirit and infuse *~* Thy Power into each Heart, Upon the present Water move, And Light and Life impart.

Baptism is an Ordinance,

Appointed by thy Word,
Which we embrace and follow thee,

Our condescending Lord.

Baptize this Soul with Fire of Love,
That shall destroy all Sin,

Possess the Heart with thy rich Grace,
And make and keep it clean.

Lcrd, let this Soul die unto Sin,
And rife to praise thy Name,

Glory and triumph in the Lamb,
Thro' whom all Mercies came.

Christ's second Coming.
Hrist comes! he comes to call

__ The Nations to his Bar, And raise to Glory all, Who sit for. Glory are;

Make Make ready for your full Reward,

Go forth, with Joy, to meet your Lord*

Go meet him in the Sky,

Your everlasting Friend,
Your Head to glorify,

With all the Saints ascend:
Ye pure in Heart obtain the Grace,
To fee, without a Veil, his Face.

Ye that have here receiv'd,

The Unction from above.
And in his Spirit liv'd,

Obedient to his Love:
Jesus shall claim you for his Bride,
Rejoice with all the Sanctify'd.

Rejoice in glorious Hope,
Of that great Day unknown,

When all shall be caught up,
And stand before his Throne:

Call'd to partake the Marriage Feast,

And lean on our Emmanuel's Breast.

The everlasting Doors, ;r..i fi;-
Shall soon the Saints recetvpt..( ;,; ,,

Above those Angels Pow'rs,
In glorious Joy to Live:

Far from a World of Grief and Sin,

With God eternally shut in.

Then let us wait to hear

The Trumpet's welcome found,
To fee our Lord appear,

Watching let us be found:
In Jesus let us still walk on,
'Till all appear before his Throne..

On the Fifth of November.

WHAT shall we unworthy Creatures,
Render to Jehovah's Name?
Lost in Wonder, we admire
His great acts of glorious Fame:
Britons praise him, Britons praise him, &c.
Sing Hosannas to his Name*

Lord, we daily prove thy Favours,
Unto this our British Isle,
Thou our Enemies hast scatter'd,
O continue still to smile:
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, &c.
God doth still our Iste defend*

He preserves the British Nation,
From the Snares of Popish Men,
Brings to Nought their many Counsels,
Makes their Efforts all prove vain:
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, &c.
God is still the Briton's Friend.

Let us shew forth our thanksgiving,
By abstaining from all Sin;
Never more offend that Being,
Whose great Kindness we have seen:
Britons love him, Britons love him, &c,
Magnify his glorious Name.

Difiinguijlring Love.

FROM Heav'n the sinning Angels fell,
And wrath and darkness chain them down,
But Man! vile Man ! forsook his bliss,
And Mercy lifts him to a Crown.

Amazing, Work of Sov'reign Grace,
That could distinguish- Rebels so;
Our guilty Treasons call'd aloud,
For everlasting Fetters too.

To thee, to thee, almighty Love-,
Our Souls, Ourselves, our All we pay,
Millions of Tongues shall found thy Praise,
On the bright Hills of heav'nly Day.

The Everlasting absence of Gad intolerable.

THAT awful Day will surely come.
Th' appointed Hour makes haste,
When we must stand before the Judge,
And pass the solemn Test,

O Jesus, chief of all the Joys

That can delight the Heart;
How could we bear to hear thy Voice,

Pronounce the Sound, depart!
