Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
BEHOLD us, Saviour, now we meet,
Simply waiting at thy Feet,
Let thy Spirit now reveal,
What our inmost Souls can feel.
Join the whole Society,
In a Bond of Unity;
When we speak of Jesu's Name,
Raise our Hearts into a Flame.
Sun of Righteousness, arise,
With thy healing quick'ning Rays,
O dispel the darksome Cloud,,
'Till each cry out, my God, aloud.
Succour every tempted Soul,
Let thy Spirit make them whole:
Give them clearly for to see,
All their Righteousness in thee.
O Almighty Saviour, God,
Wash us in thy cleansing Blood,
Purge our Hearts with holy Fire,
With thy Love our Souls inspire.
Shed abroad thy heavenly Love,
Hear our Cry, celestial Dove,
Shine in every gloomy Heart,
And fresh Joys to each impart.
C AVIOUR, let us part in Peace,
*-* Cloathed with thy Righteousness,
Give us always this to feel,
By the stamp of Jesu's Seal.
Help us simply to believe,
Saviour, now the Promise give,
Now, by Faith, thy Blood apply
To each Heart, that standeth by.
O, impress it on each Heart,
Let it never, never part;
That thy lovely Sacrisice,
Sinners wholly justifies. . •
Strengthen us, Almighty Lord,
By thy Spirit's quick'ning Word,.
Help each Brother to go on,
Treading Sin and Satan down.
Qur Almighty Captain, Thou,
At thy Feet, behold, we bow;
Keep us, 'till me meet again,
Near thy loving Heart, dear Lamb*
The Pilgrim's Seng.
Ti I S E, my Soul, and stretch thy Wings,
.**. Thy better Portion trace;
Rife from transitory Things,
Tow'rds Heav'n, thy native Place: Sun, and Moon, and Stars decay,
Time shall soon this Earth remove; Rase, my Soul, and haste away
To Seats prepar'd above.
Rivers to the Ocean run,
Nor stay in all their Course; Fire ascending seeks the Sun,
Both speed them to their Source": So a Soul that's born of God
Pants to view his glorious Face, Upwards tends to his Abode,
To rest in his Embrace.
Cease, ye Pilgrims, cease to mourn,
Press onward to the Prize;
