Our Suff'rings are not worth a Thought,
When, Lord, compar'd with thine.

Our humble Faith here takes her rife,
While fitting round his Board,
And back to Calvary the flies,
To view her groaning Lord.

His Soul what Agonies it felt !
When his own God withdrew,
And the large load of all our Guilt.
Lay heavy on him too..

But the Divinity within,
Supported him to bear

Dying, he conquer'd Hell and Sin,
And made his Triumph there.

Our Hymns fhould found like those above,
Could we our Voices raife;

Come, Lord, and fill our Hearts with Love, And all our Lives with Praise.

COME, thou wounded Lamb of God,
Come wafh us in thy cleanfing Blood;

Hide us within thy Wounds, then Pain
Is fweet, and Life or Death is Gain.

Take our poor Hearts, and let them be
For ever clos'd to all but thee;
Seal thou our Breafts, and let us wear
That Pledge of Love for ever there.

How

How can it be, thou heav'nly King,
That thou should'ft Man to Glory bring;:
Make Slaves the Partners of thy Throne,
Deck'd with a never-fading Crown.

Ah, Lord, enlarge our fcanty Thought,
To know the Wonders thou haft wrought;;
Unloose our stamm'ring Tongue to tell
Thy Love immenfe, unfearchable. .

HAT doleful Night before his Death,
The Lamb, for Sinners flain,

Did almoft with his lateft Breath,

This folemn Feaft ordain.

To keep thy Feaft, Lord, we are met,

And to remember thee;

Help each poor Sinner to repeat,
For me, he dy'd, for me,

Thy Suff'rings, Lord, each facred fign,
To our remembrance brings,

We eat the Bread, and drink the Wine,
But think on nobler things.

O tune our Tongues, and fet in Frame
Each Heart, that pants for thee;
To fing "Hofanna to the Lamb,
"The Lamb that died for me.

OME, O my Soul, and fing,
How Jefus hath thee fed,

How Jefus gave himself for thee,
The true and living Bread.

I love my Saviour Chrift,
His Grace did freely move;
And juftly my Affections claim,
I cannot chufe but Love.

I love thee, O my Lord,
I gladly thee adore:

may I never turn again!

But love thee more and more.

O raise my feeble Flames!
My little Stock improve ;

Increase my Ardor Day by Day,
And change me all to Love.

O may my precious Soul,

Lord, ne'er from thee remove;

But O be near, and nearer

And let me ever Love.

LORY to our God be given,
Praise and Bliss, on Earth Peace,

As enjoy'd in Heaven.

Jefus, God of my Salvation,

Pardon give, let me Live,
By thy Death and Paffion.

Lord, I know there is no Cure,
But thy Blood, Son of God,

This fhall make me pure.

This, my deareft Saviour, give me,
Seal me thine, thou be mine,
Then from Earth receive me.

Haften thou defire of Nations,

From below, take me to Heavenly Habitations.
