Thy tuneful praifes, rais'd on high,
Shall check the murmur and the figh.
III.

When death o'er nature fhall prevail,
And all its pow'rs of language fail,
Joy thro' my fwimming eyes fhall break,
And mean the thanks I cannot speak.

But oh! when that last conflict's o'er,
And I am chain'd to earth no more,
With what glad accents fhall I rife,
To join the music of the skies!

V.

Soon fhall, I learn the exalted strains,
Which echo thro' the heav'nly plains;
And emulate, with joy unknown,
The glowing feraphs round thy throne.
VI.

The chearful tribute will I give,
Long as a deathlefs foul can live;
A work fo fweet, a theme fo high,
Demands and crowns eternity.
