THURSDAY MORNING.

JESUS came into Galilee preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand, repent ye and believe the Gospel.

Repent ye, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Verily I say unto you, Unless ye be converted and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar and the truth is not in him ; but whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected, hereby know we that we are in him. Glory be to the Father, &c.

PRAYER FOR SINCERE OBEDIENCE.

O Lord, our God, be thou unto us a sure refuge to which we may always resort, deliver thou us from the bondage of sin, suffer us no more to abuse thy grace, or to make thy mercy an occasion of carelessness or security; but let thine unspeakable love lead us to repentance, and constrain us to a sincere and universal obedience, that as our blessed Saviour died for us, we may no longer live to ourselves, but to him that bought us, to the glory of thy name. Amen.

Then shall all repeat

THE LORD'S PRAYER.

COLLECT.

O God, whose blessed Son was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil, and make us the sons of God, and heirs of eternal life; Grant us, we beseech thee, that, having this hope, we may purify ourselves, even as he is pure; that, when he shall appear again with power and great glory we may be made like unto him in his eternal and glorious kingdom; where with thee, O Father, and thee, O Holy Ghost, he liveth and reigneth, ever one God, world without end. Amen.

THANKSGIVING.

Unto thee, O Lord, do we give thanks for thy lovingkindness and mercies towards us. Thou, Lord, art good and gracious, whose mercy endureth for ever. We praise thee, O God, we acknowledge thee to be the Lord. All the earth doth worship thee, the Father everlasting; thine honourable, true, and only Son; also the Holy Ghost, the Comforter. Keep us, O Lord, evermore in the true faith; give us strength to walk in thy truth, and in thy commandments. In all time of trouble, and necessity, have mercy upon us, spare us, and deliver us. Knit our hearts unto thee, that we may never cease to worship thee, and glorify thy name, who art full of compassion, longsuffering, and plenteous in goodness and truth; which thou hast manifested to us in the redemption of the world, by our ever blessed Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

BENEDICTORY PRAYER.

THURSDAY EVENING.

THE fear of the Lord tendeth to life; and he that hath it, shall abide satisfied, he shall not be visited with evil.

The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a contrite heart, and will save such as be of an humble spirit.

The Lord delivereth the souls of his servants, and all they that put their trust in him shall not be destitute.

The way of the Lord is strength to the upright, the righteous shall never be removed.

He shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.

He shall pray unto God, and he shall be favourable unto him, and he shall see his face with joy.

The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing. Thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness. Glory be to the Father, &c.

PRAYER FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Almighty God, unto whom all hearts be open, all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hid; cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of thy Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love thee, and worthily magnify thy holy name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Then shall all repeat

THE LORD'S PRAYER.

PRAYER WITH THANKSGIVING.

Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name be ascribed all honour, and glory, and praise, with most humble and hearty thanks, in all Churches of the Saints, for thy loving mercy, and for thy truth's sake, and for all thy great goodness to us, and to all men. Forsake

us not, O Lord, we beseech thee, but be ever present with us every instant of our lives, to guide us with thy counsel, and to give us all things needful for our souls and bodies: we pray also, for thy mercy on all mankind, especially for the weak, and sick, and afflicted in mind, body, or estate: O Lord, let thy pity behold, and relieve, and comfort, and restore; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

PRAYER FOR A QUIET AND PEACEABLE LIFE.

O eternal and heavenly Father, who alone makest men to be of one mind in an house; we most humbly beseech thee to grant to all of us grace, that we may obediently walk in thy commandments, and leading a quiet and peaceable life, in all godliness and honesty, may continually offer unto thee our sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving for all thy mercies towards us; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

BENEDICTORY PRAYER.

FRIDAY MORNING.

THE Lord, the living God is steadfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

He delivereth, and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

We praise thee, O God; we acknowledge thee to be the Lord: all the earth doth worship thee, the Father everlasting; to thee all angels cry aloud, the heavens and all the powers therein.

To thee Cherubin and Seraphin continually do cry, Holy, holy, holy Lord God of Sabaoth! heaven and earth are full of the majesty of thy glory. Glory be to the Father, &c.

PRAYER FOR PARDON.

Almighty God, our heavenly Father, who of thy great mercy hast promised forgiveness of sins to all them that with hearty repentance and true faith turn unto thee; have mercy upon us; pardon and deliver us from all our sins, confirm and strengthen us in all goodness, and bring us to everlasting life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Then shall all repeat

THE LORD'S PRAYER.
