MONDAY EVENING.

THUS saith the Lord unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live.

Seek him that turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night, that calleth the waters from the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth, the Lord is his name. Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live, and so the Lord God of hosts shall be with you.

If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land, but if ye refuse, and rebel and forsake the Lord, ye shall be consumed. Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might. Let not the rich man glory in his riches.

But let him that glorieth, glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth, for in these things I delight, saith the Lord. Glory be to the Father, &c.

PRAYER FOR DELIVERANCE FROM SIN.

Be merciful, O Lord, be merciful unto thy people, whom thou hast redeemed with thy most precious blood, and be not angry with us for ever; spare us, good Lord; deliver us from the power and bondage of sin, that through thy heavenly grace we may henceforth serve thee in holiness and purity, to the praise and glory of thy name. Amen.

Then shall all repeat

THE LORD'S PRAYER.

PRAYER FOR HOLINESS.

The day is past and gone; We praise thee, O Lord, for all the mercies and benefits thou hast bestowed upon us.

The day is past and gone; but thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever.

Grant that we may lay aside every weight, and the sin that doth most easily beset us, and earnestly considering how short the time is, may endeavour after that holiness of heart and life without which no man shall see the Lord; that every motion of the flesh or spirit contrary to thy divine will may be overcome, and we may daily fulfil the duties of our respective stations in this life, with zeal and sincerity, looking unto thee, O Lord, for help in every need, and for the final reward of well doing.

We commend ourselves, and all our friends and relations, and whatever we have, to Him that is able to keep us from falling, and to present us, faultless, before the presence of His glory, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

COLLECT.

Assist us mercifully, O Lord, in these our supplications and prayers, and dispose the way of thy servants towards the attainment of everlasting salvation, that among all the changes and chances of this mortal life, we may ever be defended by thy most gracious and ready help, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

BENEDICTORY PRAYER.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, &c.

TUESDAY MORNING.

THE Lord, the mighty God hath called us from the rising up of the sun unto the going down of the same.

The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

The ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all his goings.

Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight, but all things are naked and open unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Submit yourselves therefore unto God, and humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time,

Return unto the Lord thy God, for thou art fallen by thy iniquity. Take with you words, and turn to the Lord; say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously, ransom us from the power of the grave, redeem us from death eternal.

Glory be to the Father, &c.

PRAYER FOR PARDON.

Almighty and everlasting God, who hatest nothing that thou hast made, and dost forgive the sins of all them that are penitent, create and make in us new and contrite hearts, that we worthily lamenting our sins and acknowledging our wretchedness, may obtain of thee, the God of all comfort, perfect remission and forgiveness, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Then shall all repeat

THE LORD'S PRAYER.

Amen.

PRAYER FOR STRENGTH AND POWER AGAINST SIN.

O merciful God, grant that all carnal affections may die in us, and all things belonging to the Spirit may live and grow in us. Grant that we may have strength and power to have victory, and to triumph against the devil, the world, and the flesh. Grant that we may be endued with heavenly virtues, and may be everlastingly rewarded, through thy mercy, O blessed Lord God, who dost live and govern all things world without end. Amen.

THE THANKSGIVING.

Almighty God, Father of all mercies, we thine unworthy servants do give thee most humble and hearty thanks, for all thy goodness and lovingkindness to us and to all men: we bless thee for our creation, preservation, and all the blessings of this life; but above all, for thine inestimable love in the redemption of the world, by our Lord Jesus Christ, for the means of grace, and for the hope of glory; and we beseech thee to give us that due sense of all thy mercies, that our hearts may be unfeignedly thankful, and that we may show forth thy praise, not only with our lips, but in our lives, by giving up ourselves to thy service, and by walking before thee in righteousness and holiness, all our days, through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with thee and the Holy Ghost, be all honour and glory, world without end. Amen.

BENEDICTORY PRAYER.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, &c.

TUESDAY EVENING.

I MUST work the work of him that sent me, while it is day : the night cometh when no man can work.

Watch therefore, for ye know not what a day or an hour may bring forth.

The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Seek help from God, that ye may do his will while yet the time is given you.

Be ye doers of the word, not hearers only.

Keep innocency, and take heed to the thing that is right, for that shall bring a man peace at the last.

Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name, deliver us and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake.

O teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Send out thy light and thy truth, let them lead us, let them bring us unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles. Glory be to the Father, &c.

PRAYER FOR PARDON.

O Lord, our strength and confidence, our shield, and the defence of all that hope in thee, hear the voice of our humble petitions. Pardon our misdeeds, reward us not according to our numerous transgressions, nor according to the evil we have done. We have trusted in thee, and thou hast helped us: continue thy lovingkindness to us, most merciful God, pluck us not away, neither destroy us with the ungodly and wicked doers, but magnify thy mercies in the salvation of our souls, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Then shall all repeat

THE LORD'S PRAYER.
