2 Come with heav'nly inspiration,
Jesus in our souls reveal ;
As Thine own our spirits seal.
Deign the light of truth to give ;
May we to Thy glory live.
3 Hail, ye spirits bright and glorious,
High exalted round the throne !
And your Lord we call our own.
Saints, your noblest anthems raise !
Shout the great Jehovah's praise !
71 COME, Holy Ghost, our souls inspire,
And lighten with celestial fire !
2 Teach us to know the Father, Son,
And Thee of both, to be but One;
SPIRIT Divine ! attend our prayer,
O come, Great Spirit, come!
Our emptiness and woe ;
Where all the righteous go.
Like sacrificial flame;
To our Redeemer's name. 4 Come as the Dove,-and spread Thy wings,
The wings of peaceful love;
Blest as the Church above.
GRACIOUS SPIRIT, Love divine,
"Let Thy light around us shine ! All our guilty fears remove,
Fill us with Thy peace and love !
Bid the wounded sinner live;
Wash us in his precious blood !
Comfort every troubled breast;
4 Guardian Spirit, lest we stray,
Keep us in the heavenly way!
TRINITY SUNDAY. 74. W E give immortal praise
V To God the Father's love,
And better hopes above ;
To die for sins that man had done.
From everlasting woe;
And sees the fruit of all his pains.
Immortal worship give,
Makes the dead sinner live;
And fills the soul with joy divine. 4 Almighty God, to Thee
Be endless honour done,-
The power and Godhead one :
75 FATHER of heaven, whose love profound
A ransom for our souls hath found,
To us Thy pardoning love extend. 2 Almighty Son, Incarnate Word,
Our Prophet, Priest, Redeemer, Lord,
To us Thy saving grace extend. 3 Eternal Spirit, by whose breath
The soul is raised from sin and death,
To us Thy quickening power extend.
OLY, holy, holy, Lord,
God of hosts, by all ador'd,
Of Thy glorious majesty!
Worthy thou, the dying Lamb.
3 All as one adore the Lord,
Father, Spirit, and the Word.
GREAT the joy, the union sweet,
2 Sing we then eternal love,
Such as did the Father move:
3 Sing the Son's unbounded love;
How he left the realms above,
4 Sing we, too, the Spirit's love :
With our stubborn hearts he strove,
5 Great the joy, the union sweet,
When the saints in glory meet;
