EVENING HYMN.

(PART SECOND.)

1.

OH may my soul on Thee repose,

And with sweet sleep my eye-lids close ;

May sleep my soul more active make
To serve my God when I awake.

2.

Should Death itself my sleep invade,
Why should I be of Death afraid?
Protected by thy saving arm,
Though he may strike he cannot harm!

3.

For death is life and labour rest,
If with thy gracious presence blest;
Then welcome death or sleep to me,
I'm still secure, for still with Thee.

GLORIA PATRI.

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow, Praise Him all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heav'nly host, Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

To Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
The God whom we adore,
Be glory as it was, is now
And shall be evermore.

To God the Father, God the Son,
And God the Spirit, Three in One,
The Trinity which we adore,
Glory and praise for evermore.
