(c) Lam purposed that my mouth shall not

transgress.

(d) I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes. A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.

(e) I will wash mine hands in innoceney: so will I compose thine altar, O Lord.:

AMENDMENT.

(f) Thus saith the Lord'; Return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good. For if ye thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, I will give you an heart to know me, and I will set mine eyes upon you for good.

(g) Cast away from you all your transgressions, and make you a new heart and a new spirit. For why will ye die? I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God; wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye. Frame your doings to turn unto your Göd. Cease to do evil; learn to do well.

(b) Put off, concerning the former conversation, the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

(i) As ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness, and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righte ousness unto holiness. For what fruit had ye

in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

(*) Gleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded. Peradventure God will give you repentance, that ye may recover yourselves out of the snare of the devil.

(1) Thou that hast left thy first love, remember from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works,

(m) Break off thy sins by righteousness; and thine iniquities, by shewing mercy to the poor.

(n) If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles. For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear, because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away..

(0) Let us cease from sin that we may no longer live the rest of our time to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we served divers lusts and pleasures.

(p) Knowing therefore the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

(9) Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings; before sin hath gotten dominion over you, and ye find no place of repentance. Can the ethiopian change his skin, or the leo.

(r) Surely it is meet to be said unto God; If I have done iniquity, I will do no more. For he looketh upon men: and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it pro fited me not; he will deliver his soul from going into the pit,, and his life shall see the light. Because he considereth and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

(s) If the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die, saith the Lord: All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
