Come! Almighty to deliver,

Let us all thy life receive ; Suddenly return and never,

Never more thy temples leave! Thee we wou'd be always blessing,

Serve thee as thine hosts above; Pray and praise thee without ceasing,

Glory in thy precious love.

4. Finish then thy new creation,

Pure and spotless may we bo, Let us see thy great salvation,

Parfe&ly restor’d by thce !

Chang'd from glory into glory,

'Till in heav'n we take our place, 'Till we cast our crowns before thee,

Loft in wonder, love and praise.

HYMN 3.The RISING SAVIOUR.

E dies ! the friend of finners dies !

Lo! Salem's daughters weep around, A folemn darkness veils the skies !

A sudden trembling shakes the ground ! Come, Saints, and drop a tear or two,

For him who groan'd beneath your load ! He shed a thousand drops for you,

A thousand drops of richer blood.

Here's love and grief beyond degree

The Lord of glory dies for men! But lo! what sudden joys we fee,

Jesus, the dead, revives again! The rising God forsakes the tomb,

(The tomb in vain forbids his rise,) Angelic legions guard him home,

And thout him welcome to the kies !

3 Break of your tears, ye Saints, and tell

How high our great Deliver reigns, Sing how he spoil'd the hosts of hell,

And led the monster Death in chains, Say, live for ever wond'rous King

Born to redeem, and strong to save ! Then ask the monsterWhere's thy fting And where's thy victory, boasting grave ?

Rob'd in dreadful majesty ;
Those who set at nought and sold him,
Pierc'd and nail'd him to the tree,

Deeply wailing,

Heav'n and earth shall fiee away ;
All who hate him, must confounded,

See the day of God appear !
ş Answer thine own Bride and Spirit,
