MY DEAR SIR,
I FEEL honoured in having it in my power to inscribe this Work to you, by whose advice it was composed, and is now given to the Public.
The object for which it was written is one in which you, and the other Royal Commissioners for visiting the Northern Universities, take a deep interest.
