Conversion of the Jews.

And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph; and I will bring them again, to place them, for I have mercy upon them; and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them. I will hiss for them, and gather them, for I have redeemed them; and they shall increase as they have increased. And I will sow them among the people, and they shall remember Me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again. Zech. x. 6, 8, 9.

In that day will I make the governors of Judah like a hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left; and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again, in her own place, even in Jerusalem. And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and supplications; and they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced.

Zech. xii. 6, 10.

Even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away.

2 Cor. iii. 15, 16.

God hath not cast away His people which He fore. knew. If the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles, how much more their fulness! For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be but life from the dead! And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in; for God is able to graft them in again. How much more shall these which be the natural branches be grafted into their own olive-tree. For I

would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery (lest ye should be wise in your own conceit), that blindness in part is happened to Isiael, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in; and so all Israel shall be saved; as it is written: There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer; and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob; for this is My covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes; but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sake; for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that He might have mercy upon all. Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!

Rom. xi. 2, 12, 15, 23-29, 32, 33.

Conclusion.

CONCLUSION.

That God will Perform all His Promises.

Know that the Lord thy God, He is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love Him and keep His commandments, to a thousand generations. Deut. vii. 9.

God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good? Numb. xxiii. 19.

Ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you; and not one thing hath failed thereof.

The word of the Lord is tried.

My covenant will I not break,

that is gone out of My lips.

Josh. xxiii. 14. Psalm xviii. 30.

nor alter the thing Psalm lxxxix. 34.

He hath remembered His covenant for ever, the word which He commanded, to a thousand generations. Psalm cv. 8.

For ever, O Lord, Thy word is settled in heaven. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations; Thy word is true from the beginning. Psa. cxix. 89, 90, 160. Thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. Isaiah xxv. I. I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass, I have purposed it, I will also do it.

Isaiah xlvi. II.

As the rain cometh down, and the snow, from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud; that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater; so shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth, it shall not return unto Me void; but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I send it. Isaiah lv. 10, II.

Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers. Rom. xv. 8.

All the promises of God in Him [Christ] are yea, and in Him amen, unto the glory of God by us.

2 Cor. i. 20.

If we believe not, yet He abideth faithful, He cannot deny Himsel 2 Tim. ii. 13. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, (as some men count slackness). 2 Peter iii. 9.

God willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath; that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us.

He is faithful that promised.
