The day

Will come, when virtue from the cloud shall burst

That long obscured her beams; when sin shall fly

Back to her native hell; there sink eclipsed In penal darkness, where no star shall rise, Nor ever sunshine pierce the impervious gloom. GLYNN.

The Judgment! the judgment! the thrones are all set,

Where the Lamb and the white-vested elders are met!

All flesh is at once in the sight of the Lord, | And the doom of eternity hangs on his word! MILMAN.

Awake, O man, and from thee shake
This heavy sleep of sin!
Soon shall the Highest vengeance take,

Soon shall his wrath begin
