f 22 I will declare thy name | unto my brethren: || in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

23 Ye that fear the Lord, | praise him; || all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of | Isra- | el.

24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; || but when he cried unto | him, he heard.

25 My praise shall be of thee in the great | congre- | gation: || I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

26 The meek shall eat and be | satisfied: || they shall praise the Lord that seek him your heart shall | live for | ever.

27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn | unto the | Lord: || and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship be- fore thee.

28 For the kingdom | is the Lord's: || and he is the governor a-] mong the na- tions.

29 All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: || all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep a- live his own soul.

30 A seed shall | serve | him; || it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

31 They shall come, and shall, declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be | born, || that he hath | done | this.

PSALM XXVI.

A Psalm of David.

JUDGE me, O Lord; for I have walked in mine in- | tegrity: || I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide.

2 Examine me, O Lord, and | prove me; || try my reins and my | heart.

3 For thy lovingkindness is be- fore mine | eyes: || and I have | walked in thy truth.

4 I have not sat with vain | persons, || neither will I go in | with dissemblers.

5 I have hated the congregation of evil | doers; || and | will not sit with the wicked.

6 I will wash mine hands in | innocency: || so will I compass thine | altar, O Lord:

7 That I may publish with the voice of' thanks- | giving, || and tell of all thy wondrous | works.

8 Lord, I have loved the habitation of thy | house, || and the place | where thine honour dwelleth.

9 Gather not my soul with | sinners, || nor my life with bloody |

men :

II But as for me, I will walk in mine in- |tegrity: || redeem me, and be merciful | unto me.

12 My foot standeth in an even place : || in the congregations will I bless the Lord.

f The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom' shall I | fear? || the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom' shall I be a- fraid?

2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to |

eat up' my flesh, || they stum- bled and | fell.

3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart .shall not | fear: || though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

4 One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek | after; || that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to en- | quire in his | temple.

5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pa- | vilion: || in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up up-on a rock.

6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies | round a- bout me || therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises | unto the Lord.
