FEBRUARY 25.

There I will meet with thee, and I will
commune with thee.
Morning.

EXODUS XXV. 10-22; LEVITICUS xvi. 15;
DEUTERONOMY ix. 7-19; x. I-5.
Upon the Ark a Mercy-Seat ;
A perfect Law within :

'Tis JESUS," full of grace and truth,”
Atoning for my sin.

The given law was broken once,

But now, in Christ, is whole;

And mercy reigns once more supreme,
O'er my enraptured soul.

Made nigh by the blood of Christ.—EPHES.

ii. 13.

Evening.
JOHN xvi. 23-33.

Within the "holiest of all,"

Cleansed by His precious blood,
Before Thy throne, Thy children fall,
And worship Thee, our God.
Boldly our hearts and voices raise

His name, His blood, our plea ;
Assured our prayers and songs of praise
Ascend, by Him, to Thee.

Let us draw near with a true heart, in full Let us therefore come

assurance of faith.

boldly unto the throne of grace.—HEB. x. 22; iv. 16.

FEBRUARY 26.

The Lord is the strength of my life.

Morning.

EXODUS XXV. 23-30; LEVITICUS xxiv. 5-9.

By faith let me dwell in Thy presence, Lord,
And serve Thee day by day;
And my soul be fed

With the Living Bread,

Even Jesus my strength and stay.

I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh, I LIVE by THE FAITH of THE SON of GOD, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.GAL. ii. 20.

Evening.

JOHN Xvii.

Larger communion let me prove
With Thee-blest object of my love.
But oh! for this no power have I,
My strength is at Thy feet to lie!

FEBRUARY 27.

In Thy light shall we see light.

Morning.

EXODUS xxv. 31-40; xxvii. 20, 21.

The "Holy Place" is full of light,
A Light that goes out never!
'Tis JESUS, who has changed my night
To day that lasts for ever.

Ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light. EPHES. v. 8.

Evening.

I JOHN i.

Walk in the light! so shalt thou prove
That fellowship of love

His Spirit only can bestow,

Who reigns in light above.

Walk in the light! and sin abhorred
Shall ne'er defile again;

The blood of Jesus Christ the Lord
Shall cleanse from every sin.

[blocks in formation]

EXODUS xxvi. 31-33; MARK xv. 37, 38.

The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the Holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing. But NOW, IN CHRIST JESUS, ye who sometimes were far off, are MADE NIGH BY THE BLOOD OF CHRIST

by a NEW AND LIVING WAY, which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say His flesh.-HEB. ix. 8; EPH. ii. 13; НЕВ. Х. 20.

I'll point to the redeeming blood,
And say, "Behold the way to God!"

Evening.

HEBREWS X. 11-25.

And when I saw the blood,

And looked on Him who shed it,
My right to peace was seen at once,
And I with transport read it.

I found myself to God brought nigh,
And victory was then my cry!

FEBRUARY 29.

The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Morning.

EXODUS xxvii. 1-8; xxix. 38-46.

Every priest standeth daily ministering, and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: but this man, after He had offered ONE SACRIFICE FOR SINS FOR EVER, sat down on the right hand of God. For by ONE OFFERING He hath PERFECTED FOR EVER them that are sanctified.-HEB. X. 11, 12, 14.

Fresh blood, as constant as the day,
Was on those altars spilt ;
But Thy ONE offering takes away
FOR EVER ALL our guilt.

Evening.

JOHN i. 29-42; note verses 29, 36.

Behold the LAMB OF GOD which taketh

away the sin of the world.

Now I have found the ground wherein

Sure my soul's anchor may remain;

The wounds of Jesus, for my sin

Before the world's foundation slain;

Whose mercy shall unshaken stay,
When heaven and earth are passed away.
