THE EPIPHANY.

Behold the LORD, the Ruler is come; and dominion, power, and empire are in His hand.

FROM SEPTUAGESIMA TO PASSION SUNDAY.

Psalm xviii. 3–6. The sorrows of death compassed me : and the overflowings of ungodliness made me afraid. The pains of hell came about me : the snares of death overtook me. In my trouble I will call upon the LORD : and complain unto my GOD. So, shall He hear my voice out of His holy temple : and my complaint shall come before Him, it shall enter even into His ears.

Psalm xviii. 1.

I will love Thee, O Lord, my strength; the LoRD is my stony rock, and my defence : m SAviour, my GoD, and my might, in Whom I will trust, my buckler, the horn also of my salvation, and my refuge.

FROM PASSION SUNDAY TO EASTER. A. Phil. ii. 8, 9. Our LoRD JESUS CHRIST humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the Cross. Wherefore GoD hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a Name which is above every name. Psalm lxxxix. 1. My song shall be always of the loving-kindness of the LORD : with my mouth will I ever be showing Thy truth from one generation to another.

Blessed be the Holy Trinity, and the undivided Unity : we will give glory to Him, because He hath shown His mercy upon us.

THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.

I will go unto the altar of GoD, even the GoD of my joy and gladness.

Psalm xliii. Give sentence with me, O GoD, and defend my cause against the ungodly people : O deliver me from the deceitful and wicked man. For Thou art the GoD of my strength, why hast Thou put me from Thee: and why go I so heavily, while the enemy oppresseth me?

O send out Thy light and Thy truth, that they may lead me : and bring me unto Thy holy hill, and to Thy dwelling.

And that I may go unto the altar of GoD, even unto the GoD of my joy and gladness : and upon the harp will I give thanks unto Thee, O GoD, my GoD.

Why art thou so heavy, O my soul : and why art thou so disquieted within me?

O put thy trust in GoD : for I will yet give Him tho, which is the help of my countenance and my GoD.

Thou shalt make them princes over all the earth : they shall remember Thy Name, O LORD.
