HYMN 30. C. M.

1 My Saviour, my almighty Friend, When I begin thy praise,

Where will the growing numbers end,— The numbers of thy grace?

2 Thou art my everlasting trust;
Thy goodness I adore:

Send down thy grace, O blessed Lord,
That I may love thee more.

3 My feet shall travel all the length
Of the celestial road:

And march with courage in thy strength, To see the Lord my God.

4 Awake! awake! my tuneful With this delightful song,

powers,

And entertain the darkest hours,
Nor think the season long.

HYMN 31. L. M.

1 Before Jehovah's awful throne,
Ye nations bow with sacred joy;
Know that the Lord is God alone,

He can create, and he destroy.

NUHGUHMOWIN 30. C. M.

1 Ning e che nee je ke waih zee,

NUHGUHMOWIN 31.

L. M.

1 Je ho vah a nah suh muh bid,
A yuh ne she nah ba we yaig;
Kuh ke nuh zhuh guh shkee tuh wik,
Ween mah a tuh Mun e doo we.

2 His sovereign power, without our aid,
Made us of clay, and form'd us men:
And when like wand'ring sheep we stray'd,
He brought us to his fold again.

3 We'll crowd thy gates with thankful songs,
High as the heavens our voices raise;
And earth, with her ten thousand tongues,
Shall fill thy courts with sounding praise.

4 Wide as the world is thy command;
Vast as eternity thy love;

Firm as a rock thy truth shall stand,
When rolling years shall cease to move.

[blocks in formation]

1 I'll praise my Maker while I've breath: And when my voice is lost in death,

Praise shall employ my nobler powers; My days of praise shall ne'er be past, While life, and thought, and being last, Or immortality endures.

2 Happy the man whose hopes rely On Israel's God: he made the sky,

And earth, and seas, with all their train: His truth for ever stands secure; He saves th' opprest, he feeds the poor, And none shall find his promise vain.

3 The Lord pours eyesight on the blind; The Lord supports the fainting mind;

He sends the labouring conscience peace; He helps the stranger in distress,

The widow, and the fatherless,

And grants the prisoner sweet release.

4 I'll praise him while he lends me breath;
And when my voice is lost in death,
Praise shall employ my nobler powers:
My days of praise shall ne'er be past,
While life, and thought, and being last,
Or immortality endures.

HYMN 33. L. M.

1 Jesus, thou everlasting King,
Accept the tribute which we bring;
Accept thy well-deserved renown,
And wear our praises as thy crown.
