Precious drops! my soul bedewing,
Plead, and claim my peace with 2
God.

3 Truly blesséd is this station,

Low before His cross to lie, While I see divine compassion Floating in His languid eye. 4 Here it is I find my heavén

While upon the Lamb I gaze; Here I see my sins forgiven,

Gathers round its head sublime. When the woes of life o'ertake me,

Hopes deceive, and fears annoy, Never shall the cross forsake me;

Lo! it glows with peace and joy. 3 When the sun of bliss is beaming Light and love upon my way, From the cross the radiance streaming

Adds new lustre to the day.

Lost in wonder, love, and praise. 4 Bane and blessing, pain and pleas

5 Love and grief my heart dividing,

With my tears His feet I'll bathe,
Constant still in faith abiding,
Life deriving from His death.

6 May I still enjoy this feeling,
In all need to Jesus go,

Prove His blood each day more healing,

And Himself more deeply know.

ure,

By the cross are sanctified; Peace is there, that knows no meas

ure,

Joys that through all time abide. 5 In the cross of Christ I glory, Towering o'er the wrecks of time, All the light of sacred story

Gathers round its head sublime.

3 So with Thee, till life shall end,
I would solemn vigil spend ;
Let me hew Thee, Lord, a shrine
In this rocky heart of mine,
Where in pure embalmed cell
None but Thee may ever dwell.

4 Myrrh and spices will I bring,
True affection's offering;

Close the door from sight and sound
Of the busy world around;
And in patient watch remain
Till my Lord appear again.

I HE is despised and rejected of | men ;

A Man of sorrows, | and ac- | quainted with | grief:

2 And we hid as it were our | faces | from Him;

He was despised, and | we es- | teemed Him | not.

3 Surely He hath borne our griefs, and | carried · our | sorrows:

Yet we did esteem Him stricken, | smitten of God, and af- | flicted.

4 But He was wounded for | our trans- | gressions,

He was bruised for | our in- | iquities;

5 The chastisement of our peace | was up- | on Him; And with His stripes | we are | healed.

6 All we, like sheep, have | gone a- | stray;

We have turned every | one to | his own | way;

7 And the Lord hath | laid on | Him The in- | iquity | of us | all.

8 When Thou shalt make His soul an | offering for | sin, He shall see His seed, He | shall pro- | long His | days:

9 And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper | in His | hand.

He shall see of the travail of His soul, and | shall be | satis- | fied.

Glory be to the Father, and | to the | Son,

And to the Holy | Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and | ever | shall be,
World without | end. A- | men.

For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that He might be Lord both of the dead and living.-ROMANS 14: 9.

1. O Jesus, when I think of Thee, Thy man - ger, cross, and throne,

3 Ye, who are of death afraid,

Triumph in the scattered shade;
Drive your anxious cares away;
See the place where Jesus lay.

4 Lo! the rising sun appears,
Shedding radiance o'er the spheres ;
Lo! returning beams of light
Chase the terrors of the night.

126

I CHRIST, the Lord, is risen to-day,
Our triumphant holy-day;

He endured the cross and grave,
Sinners to redeem and save.

2 Lo, He rises, mighty King!
Where, O Death! is now thy sting?
Lo, He claims His native sky!
Grave, where is thy victory?
