7 The words ofthe Lord are pure words: euen as the filuer which from the earth is tried and purified feuen times in the fire.

8 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord:y fhalt preferue him from this generation for cuer. The vngodly walke on euery fide: when thy are exalted, the children of men are put buke.

2 How long fhall I fecke counfell in my foule, and be fo vexed in my heart: how long fhall mine enemies triumph ouer me?

3 Colider & heare me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, that I fleepe not in death. 4 Left mine enemie fay,I haue preuailed againft him: for if I be caft downe, they that trouble me will reioyce at it.

5 But my traft is in thy mercie: and my heart is ioyfull in thy faluation.

6 I wil fing of the Lord, because he hath dealt fo louingly with mee: yea, I will praife the Name of the Lord most Highest. Dixit infipiens. Pfal.14. The foole hath faid in his heart : There

2 They are corrupt and become abominable in their doings: there is not one that doeth good, (no not one.)

3 The Lord looked downe from heaven vpon the childre of men: to see if there were any y would vnderstand & fecke after God.

4 But they are all gone out of the way, they are altogether become abominable! there is none that doeth good,no not one.

5 Their throate is an open fepulchre, with their tongues haue they deceived: the poison of Alpes is vader their lips.

6 Their mouth is full of curfing and bit terneffe: their feete are swift to shed blood. 7 Destructió & vnhappines is in theirwaies. and the way of peace haue they not knowen: there is no feare of God before their eyes.

8. Haue they no knowledge, that they are all fuch workers of mischiefe: eating vp my people as it were bread?

9 And cal not vpon y Lord, there were they brought in great feare (euen where no feare was for God is in y generatio of y righteous

2 Euen he that leadeth an vncorrupt life: and doeth the thing which is right, and fpeaketh the trueth from his heart.

3 Hee that hath vfed no deceit in his tongue, nor done euill to his neighbour: and hath not flandered his neigbours,

4 Hee that fetteth not by himselfe, but is lowly in his owne eyes: and maketh much of them that feare the Lord.

5 He that fweareth vnto his neighbour, and disappointeth him not: though it were to his owne hinderance.

6 He that hath not giuen his money vpon vfury: nor take reward against the innocent. 7 Who fo doth these things:fhal neuer fall. Conferua me. Pfal.16.

Referue me, O God; for in thee haue I put my trust.

2 O my foule, thou haft faid vnto the Lord: thou art my God, my goods are nothing vnto thee.

3 All my delight is vpó the faints that are in the earth: & vpon fuch as excell in vertue. But they that run after another god: fhall haue great trouble.

5 Their drinke offerings of blood will I not offer: neither make mention of their names within my lips.

6 The Lord himfelfe is the portion of mine inheritance, and of my cup: thou shalt maintaine my loc.

7 The lot is fallen vote mee in a faire ground: yea, I haue a goodly heritage.

8 I will thanke the Lord for giving mee warning: my reines also chatten me in the night feafon.

9 I haue fet God alwayes before me.for he is on my right hand, therfore I fhall not fall. 10 Wherfore my heart was glad,& my glory reioyced: my flesh alfo fhall reft in hope.

11 For why? thou shalt not leaue my foule in hell: neither fhalt thou fuffer thine Holy one to fec corruption.

12 Thou shalt fhew me the path of life,in thy prefence is the fulneffe of joy: and at thy right hand there is pleasure for euermore.

Exandi Domine iuftitiam. Pfal.7.

Hcomplaints and hearken vnto my pray

Eare the right, O Lord, confider my

er that goeth not out of fained lips.

2 Let my fentence come forth from thy prefence: and let thine eyes looke vpon the thing that is equall.

3 Thou haft prooued and visited mine heart in the night feason, thou haft tried me, and fhalt find no wickedneffe in me:for I am vtterly purposed,y my mouth thal not offend.

4 Because of mens workes that are done against the words of my lips: I haue kept me from the wayes of the deftroyer.

O holde thou vp my goings in thy paths: that my footsteps flip not.

6 I haue called vpon thee, O God, for thou fhalt heare mee: encline thine care to me, and hearken vnto my words.

7 Shew thy marucilous loving kindneffe,

thou that art the Sauiour of them which put their truft in thee: for fuch as refift thy right hand.

8 Keepe me as the apple of an eye: hide me vnder the fhadow of thy wings.

9 From the vngodly that trouble mee: mine enemies compaffe me round abour, to take away my soule.

10 They are enclosed in their owne fat and their mouth speaketh proud things.

11 They lie waiting in our way on euery Gide: turning their eyes down to the ground. 12 Like as a Lion that is greedy of his prey: and as it were a Lions whelpe lurking in fecret places.

13 Vp Lord, difappoint him,and caft him downe: deliuer my foule from the vngodly, which is a fword of thing.

14 From the men of thy hand, O Lord, from the men, I fay,& from the cuill world: which haue their portion in this life, whose bellies thou filleft with thy hid treasure.

15 They haue children at their defire:and leaue y rest of their fubftance for their babes.

16 But as for mee, I will behold thy prefence in righteoufnes: and when I awake vp after thy likeneffe, I fhall be fatisfied with it. Diligam te. Pfal.18.

Will loue thee (O Lord) my Evening ftrength, the Lord is my ttony rocke and my defence: my Saprayer. uiour,my God,and my might, in whom I wil truft,my buckler, the horne alfo of my faluation, & my refuge. s I will call vpon the Lord, which is worthy to be praised: fo fhall I be safe from mine enemies.

The forrowes of death compaffed me: and the ouerflowings of vngodlineffe made me afraid.

The paines of hell came about meec the fnares of death ouertooke me.

5 In my trouble I will call vpon the Lord: and complaine vnto my God.

6 So fhall hee heare my voice out of his holy Temple: and my complaint fhall come before him,it fhall enter euen into his eares.

7 The earth trembled and quaked: the very foundations also of the hils shooke and were remooued, because he was wroth.

8 There went a fmoake out of his prefence: & a confuming fire out of his mouth, fo that coales were kindled at it.

9 Hee bowed the heauens alfo and came downe: and it was darke under his feet. 10 He rode vpo the Cherubias, & did flie; he came flying vpon the wings of the wind.

11 Hee made darkeneffe his fecret place : his pauilion round about him, with darke water, and thicke clouds to couer him. D 4 12 Ac

12 At the brightneffe of his prefence his clouds remoued: haileftones & coales of fire. 13 The Lord alfo thundered out of heauen, and the higheit gaue his thunder: haileftones and coales of fire.

14 Helent out his arrowes, and (cattered them: he caft forth lightnings and deftroyed them.

15 The fprings of waters were feene, and the foundations of the round world were dif. couered at thy chiding, O Lord: at the biafting of the breath of thy difpleasure.

16 He shall fend downe from the high to fetch me.& fhal take me out of many waters. 17 He thall deliuer me from my ftrongeft enemie, and from them which hate me: for they are too mightie for me.

18 They preuented me in the day of my trouble: but the Lord was my vpholder.

19 He brought me forth alfo into a place of libertie: he brought me foorth, euen because he had a fauour vnto me.

20 The Lord fhall reward mee after my righteous dealing: according to the cleanneile of my hands fhall he recompence me.

21 Because I haue kept the wayes of the Lord: and haue not forfaken my God as the wicked doeth,

22 For I haue an eye to all his lawes: and wil not caft out his comandements from me. 23 I was alfo vncorrupt before him: and efchewed mine owne wickedneffe.

24 Therefore fhall the Lord reward me after my righteous dealing: and according vn. to the cleannes of my hands in his eye fight. 25 With the holy, thou shalt be holy:and with a perfect man, thou shalt be perfect.

26 With the cleane y thalt be cleane: and with ý froward thou shalt learne frowardnes. 27 For thoufhalt faue the people that are in aduerfitie and fhalt bring downe the high lookes of the proud.

28 Thou also halt light my candle: the Lord my God fhall make my darkeneffe to be light.

29 For in thee I fhall difcomfite an hofte of men: and with the helpe of my God I shall leaps ouer the wall.

30 The way of God is an vndefiled way: the word of the Lord alfo is tried in the fire: he is the defender of all them that put their truft in him.

31 For who is God but the Lord: or who hath any frength except our God?

32 It is God that girdeth me with ftrength of warre: and maketh my way perfe&.

33 He maketh my feete like harts feete: and fetteth me vp on high..

34 Hec teacheth my hands to fight: and mine armes fhall breake euen a bow of fteele.

35 Thou haft giuen me the defence of thy faluatio: thy right hand alfo fhal hold me vp, &thy louing correction shal make me great. 36 Thoufhalt make roume enough vnder me for co goe: ý my footsteps fhall not flide. 37 I will follow vpon mine enemies, and ouertake them: neither will I turne againe till I haue deftroyed them.

38 I will fmite them, that they fhall not be able to ftand: but fall vnder my feetc.

39 Thou haft girded mee with ftrength vnto the battell: thou shalt throw downe mine enemies vnder me.

40 Thou haft made mine enemies also to turne their backes vpon mee: and I shall deftroy them that hate me.

41 They fhall cry, but there shall be none to helpe them: yea, euen vnto the Lord fhall they cry, but he fhall not heare them.

42 I will beate them as fmall as the duft before the wind: I will caft them out as the clay in the ftreetes,

43 Thou shalt deliuer mee from the striuings of the people: and thou shalt make me the head of the heathen.

44 A people whom I haue not knowen: fhall ferue me.

45 Affoone as they heare of mee, they fhall obey me: but the frange children fhall diffemble with me.

46 The strange children fhall faile: and be afraid out of their prifons.

47 The Lord liueth, & bleffed be my ftrong
helper: & praifed be the God of my faluatio.

48 Euen the God which feeth that I bee
auenged: and fubdueth the people vnto me.
49 It is hee that deliuereth mee from my
aboue
(cruell) enemies, and fetteth me vp
mine aduerfaries: thou fhalt ridde me from
the wicked man.

50 For this caufe will I gius thankes vnto
thee (O Lord) among the Gentiles and
fing praifes vnto thy Name.

51 Great profperitie giueth he vnto his king: & fheweth louing kindnes vnto Dauid his anointed,& vnto his feed for euermore.

7 The Law of the Lord is an vndefiled Law,conuerting the foule: the teftimony of the Lord is fure, and giueth wife dome vnto the fimple.

8 The ftatutes of the Lord are right, and reioyce the heart the commandement of the Lord is pure, and giucth light vnto the eyes.

9 The feare of the Lord is cleane, and endureth for cuer: the judgements of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether.

10 More to be defired are they then gold, yea, then much fine golde: fweeter alfo then honie, and the honie combe.

11 Moreouer, by them is thy feruant taught:and in keeping of them there is great reward.

6 But as for me, I am a worme, and no man: a very fcorne of men, and the outcaft of the people.

17 They pierced my hands and my feet, I may tell all my bones: they stand ftaring and looking vpon me.

18 They part my garments among them: and caft lots vpon my vesture. 19 But be not thou farre from me, O Lord: thou art my fuccour, hafte thee to helpe me.

21 Saue me from the Lions mouth: thou haft heard me alfo from among the hornes of the Vnicornes.

22 I will declare thy Name vnto my brethren: in the midft of the congregation will I praise thee.

23 O praife the Lord ye that feare him: magnifie him all ye of the feed of Iacob, and feare him all ye feede of Ifrael.

24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the low eftate of the poore, hee hath not hid his face from him: but when he called vnto him, he heard him.

25 My praife is of thee in the great congregation my vowes will I performe in the fight of them that feare him.

26 The poore fhall eate and be fatisfied: they that feeke after the Lord, fhall praife him, your heart shall liue for euer.
