3 Thee the angels ceaseless sing;
Thee we praise, our Priest and King:
Worthy is thy name of praise,
Full of glory, full of grace.

4 Thou hast the glad tidings brought
Of salvation, by Thee wrought:
Wrought to set thy people free;
Wrought to bring our souls to Thee.
5 May we follow and adore

Thee, our Saviour, more and more;
Guide and bless us with thy love,
Till we join thy saints above.

119.

Public worship.

L. M.

1 COMMAND Thy blessing from above,
O God, on all assembled here;
Behold us with a Father's love,
While we look up with filial fear.
2 Command Thy blessing, Jesus, Lord;
May we Thy true disciples be;

Speak to each heart the mighty word,
Say to the weakest-" follow me."
3 Command Thy blessing in this hour,
Spirit of truth, and fill the place

With humbling and with healing power, With searching and with quick'ning grace. 4 O Thou, our Maker, Saviour, Friend, May all the souls, who here unite, With grateful joy Thy courts attend, Rest in Thy love and reign in light.

120. Praise to the sacred Trinity. (4.7.)

1 GLORY be to God on high!
God, whose glory fills the sky!
Peace on earth, and man forgiven,
Man the well-belov'd of heaven.

2 Sovereign Father! Heavenly King!
Thee we now presume to sing:
Glad, thine Attributes confess,
Glorious all, and numberless.

3 Hail, by all thy works ador'd!
Hail, the Everlasting Lord!
Thee with thankful heart we prove
Lord of power, and God of love.

4 Holy Spirit! Thee we own:
Thee, O Christ! the Only Son!
Lamb of God, the victim slain,
Man to save from endless pain.

5 Praise the name of God Most High!
Praise Him, all below the sky:
Praise Him, all ye heavenly host;
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

121.

Hosanna to Christ.

L. M.

1 HOSANNA to the living Lord!
Hosanna to the' incarnate Word!
To Christ, Creator, Saviour, King,
Let earth, let heaven, Hosannas sing!

2 O Saviour! with protecting care,
Be present in Thy house of prayer!
Assembled in Thy sacred name,
Where we Thy parting promise claim!
3 But, chiefest, in our cleansed breast,
Bid, Lord, Thy Holy Spirit rest,
And make our secret soul to be
A temple pure, and worthy Thee!
4 So, in the last and dreadful day,
When earth and heaven shall melt away,
Thy flock, redeem'd from sinful stain,
Shall swell the sound of praise again.

122.

Concluding Hymns.

Benediction. 2 Cor. xiii. 14. (4. 8. & 4. 7.)
MAY the grace of Christ our Saviour,
And the Father's boundless love,
With the Holy Spirit's favour,

Rest upon us from above!
Thus may we abide in union,
With each other and the Lord;
And possess, in sweet communion,
Joys which earth cannot afford.

123.

After Sermon.

L. M.

1 LORD, now we part in Thy blest name, In which we here together came,

Grant us our few remaining days

To work Thy will, and spread Thy praise!

2 Teach us in life and death to bless The Lord, our strength and righteousness; And grant us all to meet above,

Then shall we better sing Thy love!

124.

After Sermon.

P. M.

peace:

1 LORD dismiss us with thy blessing;
Fill our hearts with joy and
Let us, each thy love possessing,
Triumph in redeeming grace.
O refresh us,

Travelling through this wilderness!
2 Thanks we give, and adoration,
For thy gospel's joyful sound:
May the fruits of thy salvation
In our hearts and lives abound!
May thy presence

With us evermore be found!

THE END.

INDEX OF FIRST LINES.

A

Again the day returns of holy rest
All hail the great Emmanuel's name..
Almighty God, thy word is cast..
Angels from the realms of glory
Arise, O God, and let thy grace.
Awake, my soul, and with the sun
Awake, ye saints, awake...

B

Before Jehovah's awful throne

Behold the Lamb of God

Behold, the morning sun

Behold the Prince of Life

Behold the Saviour of mankind..

Blest is the man, whose heart expands..
Blest is the man, whose softening heart
Blest is the work, O God and King
Brethren, let us join to bless..
