2 Fair diftant land! could mortal eyes
But half its charms explore;
How would our fpirits long to rife,

And dwell on earth no more!

3. There pain and fickness never come, And grief no more complains; Health triumphs in immortal bloom, And endless pleafure reigns!

4 No cloud those blissful regions know; For ever bright and fair!

For fin, the fource of mortal woe,
Can never enter there.

5. There no alternate night is known,
Nor fun's faint fickly ray;
But glory from the facred throne
Spreads everlafting day.

3. O JESU, could I this believe,
now should feel thy pow'r ;

Now my poor foul Thou would'it retrieve,

My weary longing eyes;
O let me now receive that gift!
My foul without it dies.

5. Give a poor finner to rejoice
To feel his foul in peace;

5. Wisdom and ftrength are his alone,

He rais'd the top-ftone, fhouting grace;
Honor has built his lofty throne,
And glory fhines upon his face.

6. From heav'n from earth loud burfts of
The mighty bleffings fhall proclaim; [praise
Bleffings that earth to glory raife,
The purchase of the wounded LAMB. "
7. Higher, ftill higher, fwell the ftrain;
Creation's voice the note prolong:
The LAMB fhall ever ever reign
Let Hallelujahs crown the fong.

FROM Thee, my GoD, my joys shall

rife,

And run eternal rounds,
Beyond the limits of the skies,

And all created bounds.

And fly beyond the grave.
