CCLXIV. Refurrection and Afcenfion of
Christ.

The LORD that all his foes o'ercame
The world, fin, death and hell o'erthrew,
And JESUS is the Conqu'ror's name.

Lift up your beads, ye heav'nly gates,
Ye everlasting doors give way!
6. Who is the KING of glory, who?
The LORD of glorious pow'r poffeft;
The KING of faints and angels too,

The wonders of His grace;
'Till heav'nly raptures fire our hearts,

CCLXVI. Defiring to Praife Chrift.

WHAT fhall I do

My SAVIOUR to praise ;

So faithful and true,
So plenteous in grace;
So ftrong to deliver,
So good to redeem
The weakest believer,
That hangs upon Him."

2. How happy the man,

Whofe heart is fet free
The people that can
Be joyful in Thee!
Their joy is to walk in
The light of thy face,
And ftill they are talking
Of JESUS's grace.

CCLXXI. The bleffed Society in Heaven.

RAISE thee, my foul, fy up, and run

Thro' ev'ry heav'nly freet;

And fay, "There's nought below the fun,
That's worthy of thy feet."

[2. Thus will we mount on facred wings,
And tread the courts above ;
Nor earth, nor all her mightiest things,
Shall tempt our meaneft love.]

3. There, on a high majestic throne

Th' Almighty FATHER reigns;

And fheds his glorious goodnefs down, On all the blissful plains.

4. Bright, like a fun, the SAVIOUR fits, And spreads eternal noon;

No ev'nings there, nor gloomy nights,
To want the feeble moon.

5. Amidst thofe ever-fhining skies,
Behold the facred Dove;
While banifh'd fin and forrow flies
From all the realms of love.
6. The glorious tenants of the place

Stand bending round the throne;
And faints and feraphs fing and praise
The infinite Three-one.

[7. But Oh what beams of heav'nly grace Tranfport them all the while!

Ten thousand fmiles from Jesu's face,
And love in ev'ry fmile!

8. JESUS, and when fhall that dear day,
That joyful hour appear;
When I fhall leave this house of clay,
To dwell amongst them there?
CCLXXII. The Sinner found wanting.

AISE, thoughtless finner, raife thine

Behold the balance lifted high!
There fhall Gob's juftice be difplav'd,
And there thy hope and life be weigh'd.
2. See in one scale His perfect law;

Mark with what force its precepts draw; Would't thou the aweful teft fuftain, Thy works how light, thy thoughts how vain! 3. Behold the hand of GoD appears To trace thefe dreadful characters Tekel, thy foul is wanting found, "And wrath fhall fmite thee to the ground'

REDEMPTION! 'Tis a glorious

Dwell, O my foul, on this bleft theme; A theme enquiring angels view With growing zeal and raptures new. 2. Tho' once they drew a flaming fword, 'Gainft man, the rebel to their LORD; Yet man they love, and fing the grace Defign'd by heav'n for Adam's race. 3. When but one finner quits the road That leads to death, and turns to God; Joyous they hear the news, and fing Th' increafing glories of their king.
