C.M. 113 Psalm lxxi. W I live upon Thy truth ; And strengthened all my youth. Repeated every year: I trust them to Thy care. When hoary hairs arise ; Whene'er Thy servant dies. When men review my days, In every line Thy praise. S.M. 114 Psalm ciii. 11 Whose mercies are so great; So ready to abate. Above the ground we tread, His power subdues our sins; And His forgiving love, Doth all our guilt remove. The pity of the Lord, To those that fear His name, He knows our feeble frame. Our days are as the grass, Or like the morning flower; It withers in an hour. But Thy compassions, Lord, To endless years endure, Thy word of promise sure. 148. 115 Psalm xi. Before the fowler flee? The wicked may assail, The tempter sorely try, All Nature's springs be dry; His foes a season here May triumph and prevail; When all their hopes must fail : 116 In His love and in His pity He redeemed them. Mourning souls, dry up your tears, Welcome all hy sin opprest, 11 And Jacob vowed a vow: If God will be with me and keep me in the way that I go, Thy people still are fed, Hast all our fathers led ; Before Thy throne of grace. Of their succeeding race. Our wandering footsteps guide; And raiment fit provide. Till all our wanderings cease ; Our souls arrive in peace. Such blessings from Thy gracious hand Our humble prayers implore ; And portion evermore. C.M. 118 Psalm xc. Our hope for years to come, And our eternal home! Under the shadow of Thy throne Thy saints have dwelt secure ; And our defence is sure. Before the hills in order stood, Or earth received her frame, To endless years the same. A thousand ages in Thy sight Are like an evening gone, Before the rising sun. Time, like an ever-rolling stream, Bears all its sons away ; Dies at the opening day. |
