Praise the God of our salvation;
Hosts on high, His power proclaim;
Heaven and earth, and all creation,
Laud and magnify His Name.

130 Take unto you the whole armour of God,
that ye may be able to withstand in this
evil day.

OLDIERS of Christ! arise,

SOLI

And put your armour on;

S.M.

Strong in the strength which God supplies
Through His eternal Son.

Strong in the Lord of hosts,

And in His mighty power;

Who in the strength of Jesus trusts,

Is more than conqueror.

Stand, then, in His great might,
With all His strength endued,
And take, to arm you for the fight,
The panoply of God.

From strength to strength go on,
Wrestle and fight and pray,

Tread all the powers of darkness down,
And win the well-fought day.

Ye

That having all things done,
And all your conflicts past,

may o'ercome through Christ alone,
And stand complete at last.

131 And their eyes were opened, and they knew

SON

Him.

ON of God, to Thee I cry;
By the holy mystery

Of Thy dwelling here on earth,
By Thy pure and holy birth;
Lord, Thy presence let me see,
Manifest Thyself to me.

Lamb of God, to Thee I cry;
By Thy bitter agony,

By thy pangs, to us unknown,
By Thy Spirit's parting groan;
Lord, Thy presence let me see,
Manifest Thyself to me.

Prince of Life, to Thee I cry;
By Thy glorious majesty,
By Thy triumph o'er the grave;
Meek to suffer, strong to save:
Lord, Thy presence let me see,
Manifest Thyself to me.

Lord of glory, God most high,
Man exalted to the sky,

With Thy love my bosom fill;
Prompt me to perform Thy will;
Then Thy glory I shall see,

Thou wilt bring me home to Thee.

P.M.

132 The morning stars sang together, and all
the sons of God shouted for joy.

ONGS of praise the angels sang,
Heaven with hallelujahs rang,

When Jehovah's work begun,
When He spake, and it was done.

Songs of praise awoke the morn,
When the Prince of Peace was born;
Songs of praise arose, when He
Captive led captivity.

Heaven and earth must pass away;
Songs of praise shall crown that day:
God will make new heavens and earth;
Songs of praise shall hail their birth.

Saints below, with heart and voice,
Still in songs of praise rejoice,
Learning here, by faith and love,
Songs of praise to sing above.

Borne upon the latest breath,

Songs of praise shall conquer death;

Then, amidst eternal joy,

Songs of praise their powers employ.

ST

Look unto Me, and be ye saved.

WEET the moments, rich in blessing,
Which before the cross I spend ;
Life, and health, and peace possessing,
From the sinner's dying Friend;
Here I rest, for ever viewing

Mercy poured in streams of blood;
Precious drops, my soul bedewing,
Plead and claim my peace with God.

Truly blessed is the station,
Low before His cross to lie;
Whilst I see Divine compassion
Beaming from His pitying eye.
Lord, in ceaseless contemplation,
Fix my thankful heart on Thee,
Till I taste Thy full salvation,
And Thine unveiled glory see.

134 I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great

reward.

HE God of Abraham praise,

THI

8-7.

6-6-8-4.

Who reigns enthroned above;

Ancient of everlasting days,

And God of love:

Jehovah, great I AM!

By earth and heaven confessed,
I bow and bless the sacred name,
For ever blessed.

The God of Abraham praise,
At whose supreme command
From earth I rise, and seek the joys
At His right hand :
I all on earth forsake,

Its wisdom, fame, and power,
And Him my only portion make,
My Shield and Tower.

The God of Abraham praise
Whose all-sufficient grace
Shall guide me all my happy days
In all His ways.

He calls a worm His friend;
He calls Himself my God;
And He shall save me to the end
Through Jesus' blood.

PART II.

Tund earth and hell withstand, HOUGH nature's strength decay,

To Canaan's bounds I urge my way At His command:

The goodly land I see,

With peace and plenty blessed, A land of sacred liberty

And endless rest.
