4 Let the pitifulness of Thy | great mercy: loose us from our sins, we | humbly be- | seech | Thee.

5 Make it appear that Thou art our Saviour and mighty De- | liverer: || O save us, that we may praise Thee, we | humbly be- | seech | Thee.

6 Draw near, according to Thy promise, from the throne of Thy | glory: look down and hear our crying, we humbly be- | seech | Thee. 7 Come again, and dwell with us, O Lord Christ Jesus: || abide with us for ever, we humbly be- | seech | Thee.

8 And when Thou shalt

appear

with

power and great glory: may we be made like unto Thee | in Thy | glorious kingdom.

9 Thanks be to Thee, O Hallelujah. | A- | men.

1 CHRIST our passover is sacri- | ficed for us: therefore | let us keep the feast;

2 Not with the old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and | wickedness but with the unleavened bread of sin- ceri- | ty and | truth.

3 Christ being raised from the dead ] dieth no more: || death hath no more do- minion | over | Him.

4 For in that He died, He died unto sin once but in that He liveth, He | liveth unto | God.

5 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed | unto | sin: but alive unto God through | Jesus | Christ our Lord.

6 Christ is risen | from the | dead: || and become the first- | fruits of them that slept.

7 For since by man came | death: || by man came also the resurrection"] of the dead.

2 Oh! what fear man's bosom rend

eth,

When from heaven the Judge descendeth,

On whose sentence all dependeth!

3 Wondrous sound the trumpet flingeth,

Thro' earth's sepulchres it ringeth, All before the throne it bringeth.

4 Lo! the Book, exactly worded, Wherein all hath been recorded; Whence shall judgment be awarded.

5 When the Judge His seat attaineth And each hidden deed arraigneth, Nothing unavenged remaineth.

6 What shall I, frail man, be pleading, Who for me be interceding, When the just are mercy needing !

7 King of Majesty tremendous, Who dost free salvation send us, Fount of pity, then befriend us!

8 Faint and weary thou hast sought me, [me;

On the cross of suffering brought Shall such grace be vainly brought me?

9 Guilty, now I pour my moaning, All my shame with anguish owning: Spare, O God, Thy suppliant groaning.

IO Low I kneel with heart-submission; See, like ashes, my contrition; Help me in my last condition.

II Ah, that day of tears and mourning! From the dust of earth returning, Man for judgment must prepare him;

12 Spare, O God, in mercy spare him. Lord, all pitying, Jesus blest, Grant us Thine eternal rest.

Amen,
